Will definitely return
my stay was great me and my wife traveled for my birthday and had a good time. My only issue is the same that I have with all adults resorts the age should be higher then 18. RIU needs a 40 & up resort.

Very relaxing
The resort in itself overall was very nice. Several pools and bars. The entertainment troupe was awesome. They worked very hard to entertain all day with games and such and great shows in the evening. The sports bar was nice. The beach was great. There were a few locals trying to sell their wares (and gonja) on the beach, but they weren’t pushy.the water wasn’t as clear as I had hoped and the bottom was a grey clay that was sticky, but that’s not the resorts fault, just wear water shoes. The food was just ok. Steakhouse was the big disappointment, the steak was tough, it’s sad a cow died for it! There were placards on the buffets, telling what certain foods were, but it was 50/50 that they were right! I recommend downloading the RIU app. It was useful for requesting refills on the mini bar or room maintenance or housekeeping etc. They respond quickly. It also gives a schedule of events for the day and used for your dinner reservations and menus. The resort sits at the end of the runway of the airport and I thought the planes and noise would be an issue and it wasn’t. Was actually fun to watch them come and go and they stop before it’s late. The closeness to the airport actually makes it nice, since the commute to and from is quick. There is a small store on the property, but don’t fret about going to the shops across the street to the left. And it’s adults only!

Good, but could be much better!
The hotel was great and very spacious We stayed with 3 other couples and really enjoyed ourselves Staff was great Room was spacious No problem getting dinner reservations Walked across the street to shop and visit casino with no worries or trouble (8 of us) Water park is fun Elevator was down half the week. Was ok for us but not for some that needed it for access to their second floor room Entertainment and crew were amazing! Hollywood made our stay very enjoyable The beach has no umbrellas or tables for drinks The bar was only open 1 day but you could still get a small selection room of drinks from the make shift bar they would use instead The beach is small so no long walks but very clean The locals hang out on the shore and harass you to buy stuff all day everyday Party pool was WAY too packed because they allow the other 2 hotel people to come to the riu so we didn’t go in once. That was a shame. The outdoor food at lunch was very packed everyday because again, they allow the other hotels to swarm ours Washrooms ate farm from everything Only 1 buffet area for breakfast lunch and dinner No room service No waitress or waiter walking by you by the pool to take drink orders. We stayed above the lobby close to 24 hour “sports “ bar so it was very loud during show times up to 2 am but it didn’t bother us cuz were heavy sleepers Only take out nachos & cheese, patty’s and sandwiches available to eat at the bar “Coffee” shop is in bar —grateful because that’s the only option for food after dinner Only 1 bar and I swim up bar for 4 pools No lobby bar to sit and have a drink at. Only standing space Planes fly by every 10 minutes At first it didn’t bother us but it just doesn’t stop and it’s right above your head while on the beach -no relaxing Have to pay to use the pool tables. Steakhouse steak is not enjoyable Pasta restaurant is delicious and their steak is so good!

Amazing Service
Quality service from all avenues, Felt very welcomed and a true guest. Appreciated they had the food allergens on their app and in person. As someone with certain intolerances and allergies this was a great help.
