We stayed 21 days in total lovely staff and hotel, felt entertainment was a bit hit and miss but as I said could not fault atmosphere or staff. One Yoga/stretch class a week felt this was bit mean and could have held a class everyday.

HOLIDAY
The staff throughout the hotel are excellent and very friendly. The only issue that I have is that there are a lot of steps to get to the beach club Aloha, although I am not sure how this can be addressed. A small lift at the bottom of the hotel steps perhaps ??

RIU Arecas new year holiday
Stayed here for New Year holiday. Fabulous, large balcony room on fifth floor with great 180 views to Los Cristianos and La Gomera. It’s a large hotel at the quiet end of Costa Adeje. The large restaurant does get busy at peak times although we always found a free table either inside or outside. Buffet style food was ok with reasonable choices, however, we liked the separate Ole restaurant better for tapas and served steak dinner. Sundeck was large with two pool areas and a pool bar - again, finding a free pair of sun loungers was easy although there were the usual 8am breakfast towel on chairs reservers. Two issues that could potentially influence this choice of hotel for some. 1) the evening entertainment might be an irritant for occupants of rooms that face or near the stage area; and 2) the hotel is situated on a bit of a hill with beach area access via steps (may not suit those with mobility difficulties). Overall we enjoyed our stay but it fell a little short of 5 star rating.

Excellent Service in a Great Location
The weather in Tenerife was our main attraction, and this was complimented by excellent service from all the staff at the hotel. The food was delicious and the swimming pool area was fantastic. The position of the hotel is also great and is away from the busy part of Tenerife. We will definitely be back!
