    Couples Vacation

Easy Check-in Room could benefit from an update & Cooler AC. Issues with the lock. Best bartender-Felix by the seafood restaurant. The entertainment team is amazing, funny, playful and respectful. They made the our vacation fun! Food is good. Would definitely come again.

    Some highlights mixed in

Open and honest review Check in - Super easy, our room was ready right away. We did notice that when we said no to an upgraded room, the guy was not as welcoming. Room- this is a hard one. First room had no AC and they took hours to agree to move us. Second room - the fan was literally help up by tape and the chain was hanging with an actual bandaid. There was water down the back of our sink that was molding. Overall pretty gross. Had to ask multiple times for extra pillows - they gave us two super flat ones. Bed was not comfortable. Mini bar - there really isn’t one. Two cokes, a sprite, water, and two beers. Beach and Pool- both were nice but watch the vendors. We saw them trick a lot of guests and they were rather pushy (yelling that people owed them money, etc). Activites were fun at the pool too. Restaurants - fondue was good and fun. Italian and Mexican were also good. We did the beach bbq and I got super super sick that night (didn’t really drink so wasn’t that). Buffets were aweful. Our favorite place was the Asian at the resort beside us (Tao). It’s worth getting reservations at the other princess resort right next to us. Towels/Card issues - we were fortunate not to have these issues but many people did. Bugs - for the love of all things bring spray, benedryl, whatever works for you. I got hammered with them. At the end of the trip we gave our extra spray, creams, and pills to other guests to help! Staff - the bartender in the lobby was my favorite. Funny guy and great espresso martini. Most the staff was nice but I feel they ignored us many times we had questions. Visiting the other resort- it’s worth just walking through the spa to the other side and catching the trolli there. We waited 45 minutes to get one on our side and the staff seemed less than happy to help us. Restaurants were good. Their buffet was bigger but similar food. Alcohol seemed better there. Obviously louder with tons of kids Alcohol - no clue what it was (maybe the fruit drinks) but neither of us have ever had acid reflux and had a lot of issues with it. The drink choices felt very limited and they didn’t have many common drinks. Frozen drinks were not frozen (I do get it’s hot). Atmosphere - this is a super quiet resort. Even the live music at night was not really entertaining. But that’s what we wanted. Something quiet and laid back. If you like night life and partying - this is not the place for you. Gym - it was nice and cool! A lot of machines were broken but there are plenty of weights. Overall we would never come back. We did have a good time but I would rate this as more of a 2/5 resort. We have done a lot of all inclusive as to compare to and would both say it was less than stellar. They do have some nice staff and it’s always nice to meet new people!

    They treat you like family!

We just completed our 8th visit to PCP. It is our favorite travel destination. Upon entering the lobby we were greeted by some familiar staff members, all of whom recognized us and embraced us saying “welcome back family” PCP is by far the best value you will find. When I hear complaints about silly little things I just want to say go somewhere else and pay twice the price. It won’t be much different there. Here are a few of the staff members that provided outstanding service. I don’t know the name of a few but be assured EVERYONE is very kind and helpful. Nelson in the pool bar Yosaria is everywhere! Lahara keeps an eye on the restaurants Felix “the pool guy” works like crazy to keep everything clean and well stocked. Felix the evening bartender at the beach deck is always willing to please. Although he was only there our last day Emilio in the lobby bar recognized us immediately and had us laughing like he was there all week! Edwina served us with a smile in all of the restaurants. Ramon Patrick was a fantastic server AND singer! Alexander in guest services helped in many ways, always with a smile. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get an idea of the level of service you can expect. The entire team is amazing and we are planning trip number 9 for next year! If you want fancy ice sculptures don’t go there, if you want a very relaxing vacation PCP is the place to go!

    Best kept secret in Bavaro

Love this resort! Big enough so there’s plenty to do, small enough so I don’t have to walk a mile to get we’re in going. The concierge staff are terrific, Alexander specifically going above and beyond to satisfy your needs. Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurants are superb… The beach is pristine!

    Just ok!

Birthday treat from the husband was an amazing gesture and the effort put in from him was great. in comparison to the hotels we have stayed at in the Dominican we would not come back here. Rooms are very dated and need some attention, shower ran only cold water for days. Cleaning on the rooms need to improve as maids did not touch certain areas and we didn't get towels restocked. mini bar is crap, drinks service is good BUT! The alcohol will make you ill i was sick for 2 days due to this so we only drank what we bought from the airport. Food options are poor it varies and constant flys around the food. Hotel grounds are nice and staff are very friendly. shout out to Hector on the excursions and Alexander on concierge very helpful, polite and beautiful personalities. The best thing about the hotel is being able to go to the sister hotels. There is a lovely little shoo on the beach to the right Micheal was very accommodating with our purchases, (Buy your own alcohol from here). On sight shop is ok but a little pricey don't buy and bags from there mine broke in less than 24 hours and they wouldn't refund or exchange it. cash machine out of money go to deluxe caribe and use that cash point. If you go on the buggy excursions purchase the cheaper option as when you arrive they give you all the same anyway be prepared to be sitting round and waiting for ages. Macau beach is very nice good food sold there. Finally go and check out local food Captain cook and Zoho, food was phenomenal!!!! Adults only option is good nice not having children on the beach or by the pool but u need to go to the sister hotels to experience class in terms of bar areas, restaurants and additional amenities.
