Loving dinner tonight!! Sushi at the Asian restaurant was delicious. Ernesto has been fantastic! A very pleasant experience overall in the whole resort. I don't want this vacation to end any time soon!

Our vacation was the best we ever had!
We visited east sushi &teppanyaki bar. It was the best restaurant in this hotel. The host Johana and the server Ernesto were great! Highly recommend. The food is delicious. We were there for 3 times and every time we enjoyed our food and atmosphere.

Beautiful Resort-Jury is Still Out on Star Class.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. I have a few complaints, and though they are important, I don't want them to overshadow how pretty this location is and how friendly I found the staff to be. I visited Planet Hollywood Costa Rica to celebrate my 40th Birthday with 14 friends for five days and four nights. Let me start by saying that the resort is really beautiful. Gorgeous vistas, lovely greenery, a really nice pool area, and the public beach is really beautiful (don't skip it). The staff at the hotel was really great! I loved the lady who hosted karaoke; our personal assistant, Manuel did his best to keep up with our needs and demands given that his schedule had him gone from the resort most of the day. He was very kind and did the best he could to meet our requests. I really enjoyed the foam party, and the food was really good. They made some paella by the pool one day and that was everything! The drinks are not terrible but the bars at the pool seemed frequently understaffed (but I keep small bottles on hand). Generally speaking I had a really good time and I really like the resort--it's beautiful. If you want to get a massage, go to the public beach (to the right) and ask for "Aileen" (that's not her name, but that is what it sounded like)...don't spend all your money in the spa. Those ladies out there do a really good job. Do yourself a favor and go walk on the beach. The black sand gives the illusion that the water is murky, but this is the clearest water I have seen since Turks and Caicos. Now it was COLD when I went down in the mornings (January), but super peaceful and really pretty. Don't assume there is nothing down there. There are monkeys. They will steal your drinks and run off with your things...but I didn't see any either of the times I went down to the beach--so there's that. Now, here is my biggest gripe about PH and the reason why I did a 3 rating instead of a 4: I paid about an extra $400 dollars for the Star Class upgrade. I would have to say that was the biggest disappointment for my trip. Our personal assistant (Manuel) was very accommodating and did a wonderful job helping us to arrange a dinner for a group that was split between Star Class and general guests; however, his work schedule did not coincide with our stay (meaning he would often not be at work when we were looking to get something done or accomplished). This is not his fault, I think it is something the resort should consider--maybe assigning two people to a room or suite so that someone is available during at least business hours. Our luggage was not unpacked for us, we did not receive the specialty liquor for the room, the Star Class room service seemed to consist of only one item, the aroma therapy was diffuser reeds (could only smell them right where they were placed), reservations basically needed to be made the day we arrived with very little room for changing your mind, and any room amenities received had to be requested, rather than just being in place--like we paid for. I just don't see where we received an extra $400 worth of services and amenities and I low key want my money back for that service. Now, other than that, I might consider staying at this resort again in the future. I loved visiting Costa Rica. The country is beautiful and the people are kind. Thank you to the staff at PH for helping to make my birthday special. Pura Vida!

Great dinner at the Seakhouse
We went for a steak dinner at Sunset. First of all, the filet mignon was fabulous and my wife got the Lobster and it didn't disappoint. Faramar, our waiter was top notch and made the experience even more special. Probably the best steak and lobster dinner we've had at a Carribean resort. Thanks Faramar for a memorable night,
