Great Stay
The Parc 55 San Francisco, a Hilton Hotel was an excellent place to stay. It is centrally located to many areas within the downtown area. The staff was excellent offering outstanding service. The restaurant was good with good service. If you choose not to walk, it is only a short cab or Uber ride to the harbor.

Physically hurt us. Ordered us down 29 flights of stairs for false alarm.
After telling us to flee down 29 flights of stairs (31 flights for others in our group), they saw it was a false alarm. They did not come to help us or tell us we could stop. I am a cancer patient with both legs damaged and I am still in pain from this. When we finally made it to the lobby, they were openly rude to us. I am 60. the others were late 50s or early 60s. This physically hurt us all. Had difficulty walking. In bed the entire next day. Still in pain. Shocking disregard for our safety and health followed by rudeness.

Great Service
Rooms are outdated, but service is great. Shout out to Ana at the front desk. We had a minor issue upon check-in and Ana was very, helpful friendly and accommodating which made our stay much more pleasant. Walking distance to most attractions.

NYE madness
Like the previous review, we were shocked that there was no parking available. Spent 20 minutes looking for parking. Lines to check-in were huge and slow moving. We arrived at 4:30 and had digital key which showed our room wasn't ready. When we returned around 5 PM it finally showed up as "room is now ready" At check-out, front desk person (young well-build Asian American male) did not even ask how our stay was and was totally disengaged watching something on the screen. As as Diamond member this was an unacceptable experience from the beginning. No one offered any kind of compensation/apology for the late room etc even when we filled out a review requested by Hilton Parc 55. They could have send texts or emails to arriving guests that there is no parking. A dedicated check-in line for Diamond members would also make a difference. We liked this hotel before Covid and stayed here many times. One time our suite was not ready on time and Front Desk manager called us offering substantial amount of points. Boy, things have changed...

Terrible arrival experience on a holiday, no empathy
We arrived by car at 3:45 on New Year's eve for our reservation, which included already reserved parking. We understand it's a holiday -- really -- but the response was terrible. We waited in complete gridlock probably 20 minutes to be told that the parking lot was full and we needed to park at a different hotel. We then drove to that parking lot and waited 25 minutes to park in *that* hotel, and then had to carry our luggage a block to the hotel we booked. I understand holidays are tough and not all of SF is their fault. But when we arrived and said it took us 50 minutes and a block walk in pouring rain with luggage to get to the front desk, the woman at the front desk was extremely unconcerned, her answer was "that's just what happens for big events". Well, if it is -- I have a crazy idea. Why not tell your customers? We could *easily* have changed my day and checked in our car at 2 if we thought it would be a problem. But nope, just a miserable hour out of our day and a happy guest attendant with a smile expressing no concern about it at all. Nope. Not for $400.
