Heaven on earth!!! Love this place, only 1 issue
I had the pleasure of staying for four nights, and overall, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I checked in at the reserve area, which was very professional, I was impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. **Check-In:** The check-in process was superb, with the staff ensuring a smooth and efficient arrival experience, thanks to a competent check-in clerk who efficiently merged my 2 separate reservations, so we didn't have to check out and in again mid stay, job well done. Our concierge, Lewis De La Cruz, welcomed us warmly, but unfortunately, he seemed more focused on making a sales pitch rather than enhancing our stay with personalized touches. In fact, Lewis was so unhelpful that later in our stay when it was time to meet for the sales offer he couldn't even organize the meeting, wasting my precious vacation time. **Accommodation:** I reserved a oceanfront reserve junior suite in the adult only section of the resort, got a ground level room, and I must say, the room exceeded my expectations. The view was breathtaking, and the suite itself was outstanding in terms of comfort and amenities, a full mini bar refilled each day, L shaped sofa, lots of storage space, robes and slippers, a umbrella, a bottle of rum, mamajuana and wine & much more. As a delightful touch, the room came with a complimentary beach bag, complete with flip-flops, adding an extra touch of luxury to my stay. The room opened up to a patio with two rocking chairs, providing a serene spot to enjoy the ocean breeze, Another highlight of the room was the direct access to the ocean, allowing for convenient and picturesque strolls along the beach whenever desired. **Facilities:** The resort's pools were a highlight of my stay. There are 3 adult only pools They were beautifully maintained and provided a perfect setting for relaxation. The bars and bartenders were exceptional, offering personalized service that made me feel truly valued as a guest. Special mention goes to "Wanda" at the pool bar, whose service was amazing. **Reserve Adults Only Pool:** The reserve adults-only pool is were I spend most of the day it is a very quiet place for sunbathing and to relax. For pool events and music, however, you needed to hop over to the main pool, which is huge, by the way. **Towel Service:** A special shoutout to the towel person who escorted me each day to my pool chair, making sure I had everything I needed with a touch of humor. He made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Additionally, the guy who took care of the pool area had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. His cheerful demeanor added to the fun and relaxed atmosphere by the pool. **Helpful Tour:** Despite the initial focus on sales, Lewis did provide us with a very helpful and informative tour of the property, highlighting key amenities and points of interest. But, failed to tell me about my 1 free excursion that was included with my stay, i only realized it later when I arrived home. **Spa Treatment:** I must mention that the spa treatment I eventually received was very, very good. It was a rejuvenating experience that added to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of my stay. **Kick Sports Bar:** The resort's Kick Sports Bar was another standout feature, with great bartenders and lively entertainment every night. It provided the perfect setting for enjoying drinks and socializing with other guests. I wish I knew the name of Kick's bartender to thank her personally for the great service she provided. **Entertainment:** Each night, the resort offered great entertainment options. the "plaza" as its called, and kicks bar were alive with activities, providing a diverse range of entertainment options, from live music to circus acts, koreoke, I personally loved the mirror danse party, just ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. the plaza was also a great place to relax and have a drink at night, with bartenders going around fulfilling all your needs, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere **Dining:** I must emphasize that all restaurants, too numerous to name individually, were outstanding in all aspects of the word. From the quality of the food to the service and ambiance, dining at the Resort was an unforgettable experience. **Issue:** However, my experience was marred by one major issue. I encountered a "huge" bug in my washroom, which was quite unsettling. Despite notifying Lewis, the issue was not promptly addressed, and I had to wait until late afternoon before being able to use the washroom comfortably. We were promised by Lewis compensation in the form of a spa treatment, but unfortunately, this was not honored at the spa, it was a true disappointment as Lewis failed to follow through, leaving us feeling deceived and undervalued as guests. I was lucky I didn't pay for the spa upfront; I only added the fee to my room, so I had a chance of reimbursement at check out. **Resolution:** Thankfully, the manager, Richard, stepped in and rectified the situation at checkout. He addressed my concerns promptly and ensured that I left the resort feeling satisfied. Overall, despite the hiccup with the bug and the initial spa treatment mishap, my stay was memorable for all the right reasons. The outstanding service, luxurious accommodations, and beautiful facilities more than made up for any shortcomings. I would certainly be returning in the future.
Best couples trip
Rosanna, yorgelis and Fanny provided outstanding customer service. We came as a couples trip. They were very attentive and made us feel welcomed. I totally recommend the buffet. Perfect for couples and family. Will come back with the family.
Great service and excellent spot to getaway. Rosanna, Yorgeis, and Fanny have excellent dinner service and attention like I’ve never seen before. Definitely coming back here next vacation. Loved every moment highly recommend anyone searching for a quality place to getaway.
10/10 experience, people, food, service. RECOMMEND
Wonderful experience, beautiful resort and even better Service. Rosanna, yougeis and Fanny are great. All of the employees are absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. I do not have a single negative thing to say. I never go same place twice but definitely coming back to this resort.
This was our second stay at Paradisus Palma Real. My wife and I decided to come back after honeymooning there in 2015. We stayed in a garden view, junior suite on the reserve side. For the most part it was a let down. From the moment we checked in, it seemed unorganized. We had a reservation on the reserve side, but the bellman didn't have us on his list, so we had to wait in line at general reception only to be escorted to the reserve check in. There was only one person checking guests in, so that took another 30 minutes. Our concierge gave us a very cursory overview of the resort, and off he went. The resort felt very split up. There is the Circle side, general population, and the Reserve side. It seems the Circle guests receive more amenities as they had their own lounge. The good: The resort overall is beautiful. They did a great job with the recent renovations. Jose at Mina was by far the best waiter we had during our stay. This was also our best meal. Wanda at the Reserve pool bar is fantastic. The guys at the reserve beach are wonderful as well. The bad: Overall the service and food at the hotel is not good. When we dined at Blue Agave, it took over an hour to receive our food. Our waiter did not return after the initial round of drinks, we had to go to the bar ourselves and get more. This is the case at most of the restaurants. The week we were there, it was noticeably not busy. I would suspect the resort was maybe 2/3 full. We could not figure out why it took so long to get food from the a la carte restaurants. When we ate at the Italian restaurant, we noted 5 cooks in the kitchen, yet my lasagna came out cold...not sure how that happens. The buffet was awful. No variety, the same food seemed to be prepared each day, the chefs weren't friendly, often food was cold. Trying to flag someone down to get coffee in the morning took forever. Our concierge was barely helpful. We did our research and communicated on our first day which restaurants we wanted to eat at. Every day it was a struggle to get reservations. He had to ask us multiple times where we wanted to eat and what time. We ended up eating at random times even though the restaurants were never more than half full. Our stay was booked for 4 days. By the morning of the 3rd, I was ready to go home. No one should feel like that on vacation, right? Stray observations: - It was not noted or recognized that we were return guests. This was off-putting. - There is very little opportunity to get food outside of meal times. There is no "snack hut" or anything like that. - During the change from "Royal Service" to "The Reserve" it seems they did away with the lounge for this side of the resort. - There are not any nightly shows at this resort anymore. Apparently you have to take a shuttle to a different resort to see any kind of show. - The app is almost useless.
