The Staff makes the difference…
The room was cold like we like it. The food at Cin Cin, the Mediterranean restaurant and Spice the Asian restaurant was above average for an all inclusive. However what really separates this place is the amazing staff, Andy, Diago, Alvin, Gerbran, Chris, Jose, Estabon and others. They treated my wife and I like royalty while also being very friendly like family. I wish I could remember everyone’s name like the hostess for breakfast and the waitress. I lost my wedding ring and within 24 hours they recovered it and returned it to me. It turned the saddest vacation (for 1 day) into the happiest. The staff at Now Emerald truly sets it apart from all the rest.

Decent resort!
A dates resort but if you make the best of it it’s not bad at all! The service was fantastic!! Luis and Jesus for water volleyball and water aerobics was so much fun! They had great pool side entertainment. Lots of pools essentially connected but you have to get out and go up stairs to get to them. Would be nice if there was steps or a bridge to get from swim up to the other side. Beach was nice but didn’t spend much time down there. Lots of seaweed but the resort can’t control this. The breakfast buffet was really good. One of the better ones I’ve been to really. The fruit was so yummy. And the omelets were to die for. This place has some of the best mimosas I’ve had at an all inclusive resort. My favorite worker was Edwardo during the breakfast buffet!! Russel in the swim up bar was great too. I really enjoyed myself. Yes, the rooms are older, but my bed wasn’t terrible. The coffee shop was awesome too! I would book here again honestly!

DO NOT COME HERE
Please do not go here !! there was flooding in our room and then asked to get switched to another room and they tried to give me a room with mold , which is ridiculous. the food here is horrible . They advertise a 5 star this not a 5 star this was a horrible experience and I thought hyatt is a good all inclusive company i've stayed with hyatt plenty of times before but this was absolutely absurd and not okay . at the buffet the chef cross contaminated my raw steak and chicken with the other food at the buffet . I got sick because of that .

Horrible restaurants experience
Horrible experience! My husband and I are currently staying at this hotel where they sell the all inclusive packages. They advertise that have so many and diverse restaurants but unfortunately they are all closed. On the app they show they are open but the reality is different. Plus the only one that’s open has horrible gross food and not a lot a diversity. So I always left the restaurant still hungry. I addressed this issue to the manager and he said he was sorry about it but there is not much that he can do. Very disappointed! The rooms are very very old and dirty and with mold. Please choose a different hotel if you want to enjoy your time in Cancun

Terrible
My in-laws wanted to do a family vacation of 13 of us so we were super excited but our experience was terrible from the beginning. Upon arriving we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests, then when we got a new room, the shower head fell off and the shower was missing half of the door/glass so when taking a shower water got everywhere in the bathroom. We tried to be positive but it was difficult. The pool area has specific areas that they require you to purchase a $250 bottle of alcohol in order to use the chairs and they are no different than any other chairs so, it's not obvious until you try to use them. The wait times for restaurants were 1-2 hours unless you arrive at opening time and the portions are so small and I'm a 5'2", 115 lb woman! They gave me 5 fries with my hamburger. The food was mediocre and so is the alcohol unless you reserve a room above the 4th floor. They also have a special cafe for guests above the 4th floor, however the food there isn't any different than the other restaurants. I ordered a dirty martini with absolut at the cafe while waiting for dinner but when we got to dinner I asked for another one, but they used some other terrible vodka because we checked in with our room on the 2nd floor. There was a gentleman at the pool and at the Carnival that were both very helpful and courteous however don't expect to get good service unless you tip a lot the first few times and we're always generous tippers. I will say we didn't use the kids club but the woman (don't remember her name) was so nice and sweet when asking our son to sign up so there were a few employees who provided good service. We've stayed in Cancun and Puerto Vallarta plenty of times and this place was significantly lower quality. I would not recommend.
