Melia is mediocre
Its not that its a terrible facility, it just seems like it was somewhat modernized and given a skeleton crew. Only a few staffers speak english so be prepared. The"LEVEL" they claim is an upgrade to VIP status of sorts is a gimmick- their level"lounge" is actually a small pavillion where guests sit at desks ro check-in (few kids acting up when i was in there) and hardly a "snack bar" and cocktail bar, more of a self serve beverage cart. We were told the Bistro restaurant was for Level members- we get there and its an ourdoor deck you would see in a small backyard; quite disapointing. The Level private beach alledgedly gives Level members 1st priority for cabanas- yeah unless theres more guests than cabanas. Oh and the 2 resort pools are freezing cold-unheated. Food is just okay, but mexican restaurant is good ambience and excellent service. The Fish House (not all seafood) is a nice enclosed hut over a secluded pond- best feature of "Level". Taco stand was closed every day due to rain or threat of rain, which was lame , and their theater is lame. Buffet food a 6 on a 10 scale with omelette station being the best part. I would not stay here unless youre on a large fam reunion or have several kids with you, as it is not a hi-end resort but rather simple. Level has conceirge, and in our case Santiaho was very helpful and understanding; good hard-working person.

Excelente servicio en el restaurante Mole y Tacos.
We ate dinner tonight in Mole & Tacos, the taco restaurant. The service was very attentive. The waiters Jorge and Justo really looked after us and explained how the ordering worked. The food was delicious by chefs Willy and Erick. ¡Muchas gracias!

Good value & Friendly staff
Perfect for young families! Staff seem to genuinely like their jobs, esp ones interacting with kids. Meals are easy with lots of choices.

NOPE NOPE NOPE TO MELIA
Where do I start? I am still here while writing this but I felt compelled to release my frustrations. I travel A LOT and have stayed at many all inclusives in all areas of Mexico. This is by far the WORST 1- check in not helpful or friendly. Online room states for 4 ppl. 2 double beds right? So my daughter and her friend decided to come last minute and we would just pay for them to stay in our room. We arrive. I ask to add them to our room and we’ll pay at the cost. Was told our room with 2 DOUBLE BEDS IS ONLY FOR 3 ppl. Not 4. Please explain the madness. They expected us to book another room at a ridiculous cost. Thankfully we had another couple of friends check in with us. They said one could stay with them. ( But we did all stay in the same room anyway after paying ). Ridiculous 2-rooms are very old and need massive updating. Old and humid. Sheets and bedding always felt wet. 3- bathroom toilet was clogged as soon as we checked in Clearly no one checks the rooms before next guests arrive. 4-the food is AWFUL. BUFFET IS AWFUL.Service is AWFUL. You can finish breakfast and still have no one approach u for coffee I’ve been to dozens of all inclusives and the food here is by far the worst I’ve ever had. Poor choices and few choices Even the breakfast !!! How can you not have a great breakfast! The line for the omelettes is half an hour long every day…. Bacon?? You have to wait on omelette line and ask for it!! No croissants or breakfast stuff. Just weird cheap options. Every meal. So upsetting and disappointing. 5- I need to stress again: for an all inclusive, food is minimal and subpar. Everything is closed by 9:30 so if you get hungry later-GOOD LUCK. Room service is available but with a charge!!! So much for all inclusive. 6-no laundry service on premises. Never stayed at a resort with no laundry service or even washers and dryers to do yourself 7- 2 restaurants where u need reservations. Good luck with that. Almost impossible to secure unless you do 3-4 days ahead of time. The Fish House was great first time we went. Second time we went was later at night. We ordered exact same thing and it was not as good. The coconut shrimp were not completely cooked. Almost felt rushed to close as the room was almost empty. 8- no bar service on beach or pool area. Get up and walk to get. 9- water was full of seaweed. Can’t swim in it 10- Internet NON EXISTENT. SPOTTY AND BAD near and in rooms. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE FOR A RESORT LIKE MELIA TO HAVE SUCH POOR WIFI SERVICE EVERYDAY. Kept dropping all day. Every day 11- As of right now, Jan 6- bar by beach is OUT OF PINA COLADAS. IT IS 12:30 pm. I kid you not. 12- Nightime entertainment? Either non existent or sad and ridiculous I will say some of the staff was very nice and did their best to make it seem ok but you’d need a miracle. This resort is 2 star at best. And I’m being generous. If you go further south - clean and pristine. In short- look into any other resort. This place needs a complete renovation from top to bottom.
