We love the service here so much every time! The mozza mare bar is our favorite place to hang out. Amazing food and drinks, THE best service you can possibly get. Carlos, Alberto, Edgar, Paco and Julio make our trip every time. You can not go wrong with any of the staff!

Just be sure you know that the hotel is under construction. No one told us that before we booked or before we arrived. I do not like the sound of jack hammers on vacation. The ripple effects from having no lobby, no main dining room, no lobby bar, no lobby restrooms, and no wine bar are hard-felt by guests. Literally no where to have a cocktail before dinner. No where to gather and meet people. No where to buy a souvenir or anything for that matter. It completely changed the atmosphere. Still great employees and still a great beach; just know what you are getting into before booking. We made the best of it, but won't be back.

Oct 03, 2024STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
NEVER AGAIN It's so Sad to see how this hotel went from being really nice and exclusive to just another regular-bad hotel. We stayed 2 nights and it was our 8th year in a row visiting this property. Sadly we will never come back to Marival Distinct for several reasons that I would like to list here. 1- Construction around the hotel and when you book there is no information about the property been under construction. 2- Due to construction all restaurants are closed and your only option for breakfast it's Mozzamare with a limited menu and food with poor quality. Even the coffee is not the same. For dinner you have 2 options Nicksan and another Italian restaurant but when you get there they turn you away because those restaurants are open to general public and if they are full you won't get any table so you have to go to your room and order room service. 3-We got turned away at Nicksan on Monday night because the restaurant was busy and since they serve to general public as well they don't have any table for us. 4- The drinks that we had included last year are not longer included this year you have to pay separately if you want to drink a nice Tequila or other premium drinks. Last year we paid $550 per night for a family of 4 and the food and drinks were included. This time we paid $750 per night and all restaurants are closed and the bars only have very cheap drink to offer for free anything else you have to pay $250 pesos per drink that is about $$14 dollars. 5- They don't restock your room with snacks or drinks anymore. They removed all pans, cups, plates, silverware and coffee. 6-They removed the pillow menu from you room, now you only have a regular pillow but you don't have the option to request different styles. 7-the timeshare vendors are always trying to offer you a presentation. I can't believe how the hotel is getting very bad and they still trying to scam you. 8- 90% of guest are now locals. ( we don't have any problem with that) The problem is the the hotel is charging turists $750 dls per night and $390 dls to locals. The quality of guests staying st Marival Distint changed for bad. They played loud music on their personal speakers without caring about people relaxing on the chair next to them. 9-I have many more negatives to said about our stay but I don't want to make my list to long. PLEASE BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE PRICE YOU PAID IT DOESN'T WORTH IT.

Sep 24, 2024Another Relaxing Vaca at Distinct
We just got back from spending 10 days at Marival Distinct. This was a return trip for us. Our room and the grounds at this resort were beautiful and clean. All we had to do was ask if we needed anything. There was a little craziness as they were doing some remodeling and also transitioning to a new GM and this resulted in closer of some restaurants on given days. Although a little frustrating at times the staff worked very hard to make it a great trip! Felix, Jose, Jesus, and honestly any staff we interacted with were absolutely fantastic! Some have become friends that we look forward to seeing on our trips back!

Construction lots things closed crazy rules
Arrived to entry way construction push for time share meeting lots of restaurants closed arrive to restaurants to be turned away for men having flip flops on avoid this resort. Went to Italian restaurant and denied service. Had to go to buffet all meat on buffet reminded us of shoe leather you had to fight to cut it with a knife. The staff not very helpful to move between properties I would think twice about staying here
