The best experience
We are super happy with all the attention we got here, incredible people. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, we can't express how happy we are. We most definitely will recommend it to all family and friends. The people at the beach made our experience comfortable, Eliseo Antonio was always present with his towels making sure we had fresh towels all the time. Thank you very much

5 great staff Eliseo was so much fun and July and Katia by the pool were also great happy people I love it. Very helpful great drinks fun conversations and dancing I recommend them any time it was the best choice we made to stay and hang out with them

We are a group of 25+ people that did a family reunion at this resort. I will start off with the good, its a budget resort that fit within everyone's price point during a semi peak time. The bar under the stairs - mixology bar was the best bar in entire resort. The food: The food was bad, really bad. The food was the same almost every single day, the options were only partially labeled. The sit down restaurants - the steak house and seafood restaurant might be the worst 2 places I have ever been to in my life. The service is slow (took over 1 hour to get food), the food is bad, half the food shows up, other half you have to ask for. The lobster was inedible and one person took a bite and did not eat anymore. The food had insane amounts of salt. The kids Alfredo pasta was gross, none of the 4 kids at my table ate past 2 or 3 bites. They preferred to just go up and get bread. The Mexican restaurant sometimes would make changes to the menu for dietary restrictions, some would not. Depending on the night or waiter. Food was subpar. The nachos were like costco chips with cheap cheese sauce. The Japanese restaurant is fantastic but was only able to secure 1 reservation over 6 nights. The rooms: They are very dated, very old and had cockroaches and a crab the size of my fist running around in there. I understand, it's the natural climate so not too upset about that as even in 5 star resorts in Maui, I have seen cockroaches. I booked an ocean view room, I got a partial ocean view with a building blocking half of it. Another person in my party, booked an ocean front with jacuzzi on rooftop, they didn't have the room for him. He had to then get switched rooms the following day. The service is lacking, I have been to many resorts in mexico and regardless of budget or fancy resorts, they all tried and went out of their way to help as the staff. The staff here - some care, some don't. Many don't which I interacted with. I would spend a bit more and stay somewhere else as this is not a place I would visit again.

A Beach side gem
We had a great time at the Majestic Colonial. Fantastic choice of restaurants - we tried them all at least once loved the Japanese, Steak and Fish and the Manager in the French was very engaging.! Buffet for breakfast was extensive although a bit hit a nd miss if you get served coffee. Staff in the resort were in the main were engaging a few maybe held back due to language skills which is fully understandable. We were in the Adult club side and kudos to our butler Luis who checked on us each day as did customer service. Pool bar was great on that side although we used to wander to see Junor Mercedes in the main pool bar such a nice guy. Room was a good size with really really good air conditioning, as reported the toilet is a little on the small side. Entertainment was in the main good some nights better than others but you tend to find that in the resorts we have stayed at, it tended to fizzle out a bit when the main show finished at 10pm Loved the White Party on the beach, great atmosphere. All in all a fantastic 10 days and we would recommend this resort
