An honest review from a 50 year old couple looking to get away and relax. The LHVC Tropical is GREAT!!! Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, and the water pressure is terrible (TERRIBLE). Everything else is fantastic!. The Pools and Beach area: Pools are great (nobody fighting for places to sit). There is an adult only pool with huge beds under lots of shade and they also have chairs to move in the sun. Pools were clean and comfortable. Beach is a short walk from the pool areas and they have their own siting areas above the beach (stairs down to the public beach. I swam everyday. Food: Food may have been the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. PLENTY of variety and always something fantastic. Breakfast had a smoothie and omelette station. And the buffet was filled with goodness. ALSO a sushi bar near the ocean was EXCELLENT and included!!!! Lunch and dinner had a seafood and protein station to grill what you choose and again, plenty of options and the salad and buffet spots. We did not do any reservations because we enjoyed the buffet so much! The Rooms: Rooms are dated but have everything you need. We had no complaints EXCEPT the water pressure was awful. Had no water for about 4 hours one day, but we spent the majority of our time out and about. This is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Pressure: I saw hardly any pressure for tours or spas. I was asked one time for a VIP tour and said no. I was asked once for a spa, once for Cigars and that was it. Maybe it was because of the color of my bracelet (not sure how it all worked) but the annoyance of the sale was hardly present. Bars: Never crowded and the drinks were typical The VIP beach had a great bar called bubbles (sushi right there too) and they had the best drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again for a great time with a great price tag!!

Best thing I can’t say about this place is the Staff. (Other than that ) 1 we called Maintenance to our room 4 Times No hot water Ac problems Mold issues, water constantly all over the floor, stool running constantly. We asked to be moved said they were full (BS) There sals team will not leave you alone. If you are not a owner ( VIP or CC ) you can only eat 6 restaurants witch have different menus for non owners. You can only go to a couple bars as a non owner with cut rate liquor. We came home sick from the mold and very dissatisfied with the whole experience So if ya want to give them $200,000.00 and become a villa owner this place is for you. Otherwise stay clear of this place

Go to Punta Cana instead.
I have been to several third world countries and the cost was less but this was to low for service and a infrastructure. I can not recommend this resort due to lack of care from the staff and poor conditions of the utilities,

I have a few questions, last year when we went the disco was closed, and they had no vip party, water world was closed, and no foam party, we went to lifestyles for mostly those reasons. Has anything opened up or any of the parties returned?, I love this resort but miss those perks. Forever grateful, tina

I had the best massage done by the beautiful Masseuse Diana at the Lifestyle Resort Tropical Yang Yang Spa. Be sure to treat yourself to a relaxing experience while vacationing there. Ask for Diana and tell her that Donna recommended her to you. You won’t regret it. Satisfaction and relaxation guaranteed. 10 out of 10👌👍
