Nice place to stay.
Staff were very nice and professional. My only complaint would be the bathroom in my room, which was small, but that's no big deal. All in all, I would stay there again without hesitation. Had a good time and was treated very well.

Kauai Shores- Aug 2023
GREAT LOCATION! A nice clean, cool little “vintage” hotel! The restaurant offered a great menu. The front office staff were always eager to help you. I wish there was frisky brewed coffee in the lobby. Rooms were cleaned daily and restocked. Walking distance to shops, market, etc. parking can be a nightmare but if you can’t find a spot they offer free valet. Older resort but kept nice, no elevators to second story. we did see a cockroach on the staircase. But no signs of them anywhere else. The hotel restaurant Lava Lava was nice BUT needs to work on customer service. The waitresses never checked on us after received food and it took about 15 min before she came to our table. Overall 7.5/10. Kauai Shores LOCATION, LOCATION. LOCaTION!!

Beware - building work in progress
This is not a bad hotel, and staff are friendly, but there is one whole block out for renovation and if you have booked a kitchenette room, YOU WILL NOT GET IT. We were informed a week beforehand that our room selection had been changed to a standard pool view room as all the kitchenette rooms are under renovation. Also the 2nd pool by the work is closed as it is being used as a storage area for new furniture. We had a wonderful view of all the builders coming and going from the rooms, not exactly a perfect stay. Parking a issue as some of the car park was used for storage containers, so the only option was valet parking were cars were double stacked to accommodate everyone. My advice if you are staying within the next couple of months, check what you are expecting, especially if you need a kitchenette.

Perfection on the east side
We love Kauai Shores. This is the second time I've chosen to stay with them for a few nights of our trip to Kauai. The atmosphere and ambiance is a perfect welcome to the island. Live music, a delicious restaurant on the beach, comfy lounge chairs overlooking the ocean and friendly staff make you feel immediately relaxed and at peace. The rooms are clean and the common areas are alway tidy. Make sure to take advantage of the free beach cruisers to explore Kapaa and ride along the beautiful coastal bike trail. This place is perfection and I hope it never changes. I've stayed with my husband and on a separate girls trip. Everyone has loved it. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

Excellent and comfortable hotel
Kaua’i Shores hotel is located at a very convenient location with less than 10min from the airport, within walking distance of ABC store and multiple smaller boutiques and restaurants. The hotel has been recently updated, giving it that resort feeling with a pool, hot tub, bikes, lawn games, complementary pool/beach towels and a restaurant on site. The hotel has complementary valet parking, which makes it a very convenient experience. The front desk is open 24/7 and has a small marketplace selling necessities and souvenirs, as well as Hawaiian resort wear. The hotel property is a beachfront property. Although it’s not life guarded, it does have a nearby area that’s protected from the surf and excellent for children and weaker swimmers. You can see the sunrise above the Pacific Ocean and the skies are dark enough at night to see the Milky Way from the lounge chairs on the beach. The hotel rooms come with a balcony or a patio and are cleaned and stocked regularly. Overall, the property is very well landscaped, has that resort feel and comfort, all for a mid-range price.
