Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Spring Break Policy - Bookings traveling in the months of March and April will be subject to the following conditions:
· The minimum age requirement for check-in is 18. One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in.
· In the event that any guests engage in inappropriate behaviour or cause physical damages to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the said guest without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.
Spring Break Groups Policy - Students/youth are considered between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy for all bookings traveling March-April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
· Any student/youth group must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
· Upon check-in, each group will be required to leave a refundable cash deposit per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

We just returned from a week at JOIA and it exceeded all expectations. The staff and property were amazing. Our butlers, Antonio and Gustavo were beyond helpful. Andrea, at Star Prestige, was informative. Rosaura was very attentive around the pool bar and the "fun" staff was so very fun at the pool. We will definitely be back.

Another amazing vacation
Iberostar Joia in Rivera Maya never disappoints. Each and every staff member makes it a point to ensure you are happy. Great food, amazing service and overall property. From the cart drivers to the bar staff, wait staff and every employee we encountered, they serve with a smile and go out of their way each and every day. We continue to make this at least an annual trip.

If you're looking for a resort that's luxurious and blissfully quiet, this is it. My husband and I booked JOIA (previously known as Grand Paraiso) for our honeymoon. The service and quality from check-in to check-out was fantastic. Mauricio from the front-desk was phenomenal, so kind and chatty. I don't recall her name, but the concierge working the 2nd floor in afternoons was amazing!! I was very sick, and she had the chef make a batch of chicken noodle soup, ensure our room was filled with water and called daily to check to see how I was feeling. Due to me being sick, we weren't able to check out the restaurants and other activities. We plan on returning because the service and vibe of the hotel was wonderful. The Quiet pool is my favourite; they had spa music playing the entire day.

Iberostar Grand... Haiku.
Haiku restraunt was the best meal of our trip so far. Everyone worked seamlessly together to provide an experiance to remember. From the greeter to the head waiter everyone made us feel at home and welcome. The whole family here at Joia are amazing.

Reyes Che was an amazing server, food was incredible!! He gave us tequila to try, food came out fast, everything was explained well and tasted delicious. service all around was impeccable, nicest people ever. i don’t have much else to say i just want Reyes to know he was awesome
