    Paradise

This place is paradise and I don’t even know where to start! I am going to bullet point as there is so much I want to say! *HOTEL- the hotel is so stunning. It is so spacious and there is so many areas to sit down! In the lobby bar they have seating area all around and a piano which does have some singers in some evenings. Very cool in the lobby too if you need some rest-bite from the sun. The grounds are immaculate and so pretty. The pool area is clean but there is not many shaded areas, the pool gets quite warm in the afternoon and it’s quite hard to cool down so if you do struggle to sit in the sun all day you will need to grab a shaded spot first thing in the morning as there are no parasols. Only permanent palm tree parasols. * FOOD- the food here is incredible! - Buffet Restaurant- 10/10. For those that gave the buffet anything less I genuinely think you have been paid to write a bad review lol. There is so much choice for each session, breakfast, dinner and evening meal. I couldn’t believe how many options there are to try and every single thing I tried tasted amazing and I didn’t leave anything on my plate! Each night they have a themed night but even then there is still loads of options!! Me and my partner couldn’t believe the high standard of food in the buffet. - the Jamaican Restaurant on the beach was insanely good! It only opened 6 days after us being there due to the rain in the afternoons but when it was open we was there straight away! Chef Marcus is an absolute diamond and made us feel so welcome, he brought us out extras that were not on the menu such as crab for us to try. Our mains were incredible also! - Japenese Restaurant- brilliant engaging meal. You sit round a table in a square whilst the chef cooks in the middle and it was fun! Our chef was cracking jokes with us and singing and we had a laugh. Do not be put off if you don’t like Japenese food as I don’t like it at all and I ate every single thing, it was delicious. - Italian restaurant, walked in with no reservation and got a table no problem. We both had a carbonara which we ate all up, it was nice but it is not an Italian like you would expect back home but what do you expect in Jamaica?! - the bbq shack which is underneath the pool is amazing!! The chefs in there are in such demand and they really go above and beyond. They do jerk pork, jerk chicken burgers and hot dogs alongside a salad bar. It is such tasty food! - smokehouse. Didn’t go here but our friends who we met did and they said it was really nice! We didn’t go because when we were planning to we seen the theme for the buffet and decided to stay at the hotel! This restaurant is next to the hotel on the beach. - ice cream parlour- this is such a nice little place to go for ice cream, pancakes. Cookies etc. opens at 3 and it’s really pretty in there! DRINKS- * the bars are situated around the hotel. You have the lobby bar which has lots of seating areas, pool tables and outdoor terraces. Drinks are flowing quick and you don’t have to wait long to get a drink. The sports bar is on the ground floor and it’s so cool in there which was amazing as it was so hot! Lol. The sports bar has a pool table and a football table and the entertainment was in there some nights. * pool bar is open from 9am not sure what time it shuts. Maybe 5? The bartenders are so overworked and they do their best to ensure you get served quickly ( which you do) and always smiling. Jevon was a brilliant laugh and always smiling. * the other bar was in the staged room where most entertainment is. Again... Quick serving! ROOMS- * the rooms are very spacious and are cleaned to a high standard every day with a mini bar being restocked with red stripe and soft drinks. We had a pool view room ( we didn’t ask for) and were so lucky as we had one of the best views of the sea, beach and beautiful grounds. People have said the rooms are basic but who goes Jamaica to sit in a room! Air con was amazing too!!!! TIMESHARE * we had a phone call from our concierge regarding the timeshare plan. We was not interested as I had read review after review saying to avoid this. I immediately said no. Our concierge rang again and explained that we would receive 100 dollars for attending the breakfast at the other hotel. I asked what the catch was and she explained that you go over and they will try to explain this timeshare with you and you say you are not interested and they get their commission and you get 100 dollars worth of Iberostar cash which you can use in the gift shop or on an excursion. I said to my partner that we could do it, then we was told they needed to see my card, I was like no no no no. Then our concierge explained that the Iberostar dollars are sponsored by your card. I thought this was weird but covered up my card in detail when shown and we attended the breakfast was there 8-10. We told the lady we wasn’t interested and then another guy came over, we Told him the same and then the final lady came over. Told her it was out of our price range as we was not interested at all and then that was it. We left with our dollars and came back to our hotel and used them towards our excursion of Dunns River and Bob Marley’s house. If you don’t mind giving up 2 hours maximum then I think it’s not a massive negative. You have to agree to 90 minutes but after that time you can leave and still receive the Iberostar dollars. This place is amazing and I would recommend anyone to go. ️ We met some really lovely people there and would go back if we could! Kirsty if you see this I tried to find you on my last morning and I couldn’t. Find me on insta!

Hotel stay at the Rose Hall Beach Hotel

The facilities were excellent with everything we needed catered for. The majority of staff delivered exceptional customer service except for a select few. In particular, the service we received from Shantel was amazing. She went over and beyond to ensure our stay was fuss free and nice and relaxed. It was a huge pity we did not manage to say goodbye as we did not get to see her before we left. However, we would very much hope to see her soon should we book again.

    Worse experience ever

Staff members don’t have hosting experience level. They taking their sweet time to get our order even for water I have to ask many times. I always go for my yearly vacation with my wife in May to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary for the last 3 years I been having an unbelievable treat for our occasions. Staff were going above and beyond their way to accommodate our needs and gave us a lot of compliments stuff like free spa time and free cabana by the beach and I didn’t even have to ask for anything. I was expecting the same here but unfortunately poor management and bad attitude from staff ruined our vacation. I was in my room and all the sudden one of staff opened the door to surprise us with 2 pieces of cake for our birthday I was in my underwear and I just froze couldn’t believe what’s happening As per management there is no reservation required to g to any restaurant except the Japanese restaurant went to the Italian restaurant and they had a waiting list and the host was very rude when I asked her how long is the wait she answered I can’t give an estimate time because I can’t kick people while they are eating so I left and I went to the steak house and I had the same problem with a really nasty host that refused to smile and she doesn’t know how to talk to customers. She had me waiting for 30 minutes and I see a lot of people leaving already when I looked at the dining room there was at least 5 empty tables and no one was waiting so I had to ask her what was the reason for me to wait and she had 5 tables empty she responded that she had to go with the waiting list and within few seconds she texted my wife and came to us did you hear your phone I just texted you and I didn’t like that game and I left. The point is no kind hospitality , there is no one watch what the staff are doing .
