Groups Policy: Iberostar will accept a maximum of 8 rooms traveling together to be booked as individual bookings. Any group of 9 rooms or more requires a traditional group contract. If your group unexpectedly exceeds 8 rooms, it is your responsibility to notify ALGV immediately, at which point the group will be converted to a contract based on Iberostar's current day group rates and cancellation policy. Failure to notify ALGV of large groups can result in the forfeit of the group. If you know in advance of making any bookings that your group will exceed 8 rooms, please reach out to ALGV for assistance.

Great hotel right on Gran Via. Perfect location to explore Madrid. Short walk to Plaza Mayor and Sol. Rooms were very comfortable and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast. Excellent on site bar too.

Best hotel in Madrid
The perfect hotel to stay in Madrid. Right in the middle of everything - we even had our own hot tub . Great little bar as you walk in the hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful - we'll be back again

Warm and caring staff made our stay
I have never felt so cared for by a hotel's staff. The personal attention began while I was still in New York. I mentioned on my reservation that the trip was a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary and received several emails with suggestions for celebrating the event. They even wanted to blow up a wedding picture for our room. When we arrived, there was a bottle of chilled champagne in our room and a Spanish romantic love poem on the wall behind the bed. Each day the staff asked what they could do to help us plan our activities and they provided endless restaurant suggestions. When I inquired about a bus route to the modern art museum, the day concierge walked me to the bus stop and showed us the free bus that would get us to our destination. Although the room was fairly basic, it met all our needs and was very clean. The breakfasts were wonderful! The best of the 5 hotels at which we had stayed in Spain as we traveled from city to city. Here too the wait staff was attentive. I cannot say enough about Azahara and Alberto, the evening concierges who went the extra mile for us every day. We even got a hug goodbye. I understand that Iberostar is planning on upgrading the hotel. There is no way to upgrade the personnel; they already merit every superlative.

We have stayed in other Iberostar hotels and so picked this one for our 5-night stay in Madrid. The location is excellent - on the Gran Via which is a main thoroughfare in the city centre. If you plan to take the City Tour open-topped bus, there is a stop just opposite the hotel. Our room was great; plenty of space and spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had both a bath and a walk-in shower. Despite being on the 2nd floor and at the rear corner of the hotel and having double-glazing, at night we still heard lots of noise (traffic and people) from the street below. The breakfast buffet was very good as it included a wide range of food and you could order hot dishes. The breakfast room becomes a restaurant in the evening. We didn't get to try out the restaurant as it was open only on Friday and Saturday (that may be an off-season thing). The large bar (effectively two adjoining bars) serves decent food and the drinks were very reasonably priced. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Not an inexpensive place to stay due it being 4* and it's location, however the Iberostar is a lovely hotel.

Great choice for the city centre.
Excellent hotel in a great position on Gran Via, close to Metro, restaurants, shops and major sights. Very well modernised, the rooms are spacious, quiet and well appointed. Comfortable beds, attractive public areas. There is a nice snack bar on the ground floor for a light lunch, but we did not have breakfast in the hotel. Helpful staff. For a stay in the centre of this great city, you cannot do better, unless on a tight budget or want super luxe.
