    Not worth the money

The resort is beautiful and in a great location near the airport, however, it is very overpriced for what you actually get. On their website they boast about their 5 restaurants, however, they fail to mention that you need a reservation to eat at the restaurant and they never fill every table so it is near impossible to get a reservation. They tell you you can wait and try to get a table if someone is a no show, but you will just end up not eating or being shown to the buffet, which isn’t even open every night. They also suggest you order room service for dinner which was the equivalent of greasy bowling alley food. For the amount I’m paying for an all inclusive and to relax on vacation, I shouldn’t have to worry about if I am going to eat dinner or not. When I spoke with the concierge about this they seemed unconcerned and tried to offer me a time share instead. As far as service goes I would say half the staff are very friendly, but the other half are extremely miserable and take it out on the guests. The beach and the pool were great, and we tried the lazy river out at the suites as well. The swim up bar was a nice touch, but beware, some of the frozen drinks they just pour a shot of alcohol in and never mix with the rest of the drink. At night they had plenty of entertainment options, I particularly enjoyed the saxophone player and violinist. If I ever returned to Jamaica and wanted an all inclusive I’d probably pick a different hotel where I can actually eat and enjoy my dinner and not be sassed by hotel workers when expressing my concerns

    First timers

First visit to this resort. We were in building 6, 3rd floor, ocean front. AC is the room was quiet and bed was good. If you want different pillows just ask! All balconies are a nice size but could benefit from removing the hanging basket and adding 2 chairs so you can really enjoy the ocean views. This resort has 2 buildings; 6 on the west side and 5 on the east side. Beautiful entry hall with front desk, bar/lounge and concierge desk. Three pools all in the same area with swim up bar. At this all adult, all inclusive resort you are entitled to use the services at the next 2 attached resorts which is the Iberostar Selection RoseHall Suites and the next resort to the east, the Iberostar RoseHall Beach hotel. This is especially helpful when you are interested in a larger, infinity pool option. We experienced good food everywhere. Reservations are suggested but the walk in policy works nicely too. The buffets are really exceptional as there are many “made to order” fresh food options. If you are a wine-o you maybe challenged as most restaurants and bars had one white (Chardonnay) and one red (Merlot). The pool bar at the suites complex ran out of beer 4 out of 8 days…..sad inventory management! The concierge visit invitation paper you get upon arrival and again in your room is for a “Club Membership” time share/discount program presentation. We ignored them but when we went to ask the concierge questions they saw in their system we did not do the presentation yet and gave us the sales pitch, pushing $600 worth of discount coupons for the properties services. The catch is that you pay, for example, $75 for goods to get $25 off, $45 off Spa treatments; a 50 minute deep tissue costing $211. Etc. We politely declined and the lady graciously accepted our decision. We cannot say enough about the friendly and helpful staff on all 3 properties! ! Our butler team; Devon, Jamie, Omar and Rennardo were outstanding with quick service and bright smiles. The use of WhatsApp is a great idea as responses are so fast. We will definitely consider returning to this lovely property!

    Wonderful Stay

My stay at the Iberostar Rose Hall resort was amazing. Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. Colin was my concierge and he made me feel right at home all weekend. I loved the fun, yet relaxing atmosphere. Amazing view of the Caribbean Sea, and so much seating on the beach and around the pools to relax. There was always music, laughter, and dancing, and nightly events to keep everyone entertained. If I have to choose something I was disappointed with; it would have to be the buffet food. I also had a maintenance issue that was not resolved before I left (toilet constantly running). Despite these minor issues, I had a wonderful experience and will carry this trip with me forever. I can’t wait to to return.
