New resort so they are working out the kinks. Food and drinks were good but nothing amazing. They have some some pool activities at the main pool (water aerobics, bingo) but we preferred the club level rooftop which was quieter. You need to reserve dinner on the app which we had a difficult time with. Golf course next door was very nice according to my husband. Spa services were good but in a temporary setup right now (hotel rooms serve as reception / service locations). Service from staff was great!

Beautiful Stay with Some Frustrations
Honest Review of Hyatt Vivid – Beautiful Stay with Some Frustrations We recently stayed at Hyatt Vivid and overall had an enjoyable experience. The resort is modern, very clean, and beautifully designed. The views were stunning, the pool was always well-maintained, and housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless. One small but notable perk: the water pressure in the showers was amazing. Room Comfort- 6/10 The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean but one of the biggest downsides and the low rating for us was the room temperature control. The thermostat wouldn’t go below 70°F and the AC would automatically shut off and turn back on throughout the night. When it kicked on, it was loud enough to wake us up. The room stayed warm, especially overnight, which made it uncomfortable for us as hot sleepers. Staff and Service: 8/10 Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, we had a frustrating experience with the front desk regarding a complimentary room that was supposed to be available on our last day before heading to the airport. Our private shuttle was scheduled for 3:10 PM and checkout was at 12 PM. A staff member told us we had a comp room scheduled for 3 PM so we could shower and change before the flight. It was a tight window, but we were grateful for the accommodation. The next day, when we went to confirm, a different staff member (wearing a gray knit headband) said there was no record of it and asked, “Who did you speak to?” which felt dismissive. Since we couldn’t remember his name right away, she told us there was nothing she could do. An hour later, another staff member was able to offer us a comp room at 2 PM when we went to go ask. We were thankful, but no one could explain why the original arrangement disappeared. The whole situation felt disorganized. Dining: 7/10 We weren’t able to try the Mediterranean or French restaurants since they were fully booked. The Italian restaurant was delicious and the Japanese one was also a great experience. The buffet was a solid 7 out of 10 for breakfast and lunch. However, all the juices were not fresh or remotely close to bottled juices in the states- they all had a weird artificial taste, especially the orange juice. The Beach Club food was disappointing. We saw on Tiktok that it was raved about so we were excited but the burger tasted more like a meatloaf patty. The only standout item was the poke nachos. We were also excited to try the Vivid Bites food truck after seeing great reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. We sat for 20 minutes before a waiter gave us a menu. As soon as he handed it to us, he asked if we were ready to order. I already knew what I wanted from TikTok (tacos and enchiladas), so I began placing the order. He interrupted and strongly suggested something else instead: two random tacos and a black bean quesadilla. He even pulled the menu back into his hands as if we had agreed. We went along with it because we were too hungry to push back. The food tasted good, but I left wishing I had been able to order what I actually wanted. Beach Club: 8/10 We were most concerned about this part of the resort since the beach is off-site. Fortunately, the shuttle ride was only five minutes and the bus was air-conditioned and comfortable. Once there, the Beach Club was beautiful, but the seating situation needs to be managed better. Most of the lounge chairs had towels on them, but it wasn’t clear if they were in use or just being “saved.” We ended up standing around and watching to see if anyone returned. It would help to have staff remove unused towels or signs explaining the policy. The ocean water had visible algae during our visit. It wasn’t ideal, but the beach was still beautiful. Just a heads-up that there is no food service to your beach chair. If you want to eat, you have to go up to the second floor dining area. Final Thoughts: Hyatt Vivid is a gorgeous, well-designed resort with great views and relaxing vibes. The pool and housekeeping were highlights, and most of the staff were kind. However, inconsistent service, warm rooms, and underwhelming food at the Beach Club and 0 spots for reservations took away from the overall experience. We would still recommend it, but with a few tips in mind. Book your restaurants early, bring a fan if you run warm, and keep expectations realistic around service.

The Hyatt grand vivid is a beautiful hotel, which has an amazing beach club attached to it. It is situated in a perfect part of Cancun that is accessible to so many water and cultural activities. The all inclusive resort sees to your every need and there are so many activities to keep you busy if you want to be the yoga classes were amazing on the rooftop and I would highly recommend this aspect of it.

Fresco ceviche
Absolutely Incredible Experience at Fresco Ceviche! I can’t say enough good things about Jesus and Chef Guadalupe at Fresco Ceviche. From the moment we walked in, Jesus made us feel like VIPs—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making our experience unforgettable. Then there’s Chef Guadalupe—an absolute artist in the kitchen! Every dish was bursting with freshness and flavor, especially the ceviche. You can taste the love and authenticity in every bite. The balance of citrus, spice, and seafood was perfection. This wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. If you’re looking for the best service and seafood in town, do yourself a favor and visit Fresco Ceviche. Jesus and Chef Guadalupe will make sure you leave smiling, full, and planning your next visit!

Enjoyable time and great food
Really enjoyed my stay at this resort. Many thanks to the staff, especially Orlando who organized a lot of fun activities throughout the week. I’d highly recommend the eating at Fresco Ceviche! The ceviche and drinks prepared by Jesus and Guadalupe were great and they were really fun to talk to.
