A very good experience
This resort was great! My husband and I were able to spend 7 nights at this new resort. I've stayed at AMResorts which was bought out by Hyatt (Breathless, Secrets, Dreams prior to this, in Mexico). This was my 6th trip to Cancun, and I would definitely stay here again. We arrived earlier than check-in but were able to eat lunch and relax near the pool prior to getting our room keys. I enjoyed our view of the lagoon and main pools from our room; very relaxing. The beach is a quick ride across the street in the shuttle. Lizbeth at the front desk gave us wristbands for the beach club and was very pleasant to chat with. I was very happy to be able to practice my Spanish there, all the employees were so gracious with me. It has to be a lot to deal with, juggling multiple languages with so many international tourists. I commend all the employees for speaking minimum of two languages, when dealing with the general public. Some of my favorite people I met were Abishair in the Beach Club. She is so sweet & literally worked so hard & always had a smile and a funny joke to share. Jesus at the main pool is so fun. He was so accommodating and always made sure we had what we needed, despite being extremely busy. The entire crew at The Hub- they have to yield both walk-up orders and the servers' orders, which can be confusing. There is another server at the main pools, and I cannot remember her name, but she has braces. She was absolutely awesome, spunky, fun and so energetic! The E-team is very spirited and great. I was able to do Aqua Zumba twice, aqua cycling, and attend a sound bath and cacao ceremony. Penelope and Roger's Aqua Zumba classes were so fun and challenging! Neftali has the biggest heart; I was able to take his aqua cycling class, which was great. He's not a DJ there (I think Eddie is, but I can definitely see that for him- he has great musicality). He also helped host the sound bath held by Fernanda, who is a meditation guide & healer. The sound bath was excellent as well as the Cacao ceremony. Fernanda and Meju (sp?) facilitated the Cacao ceremony, and it was very authentic, emotional, and beautiful for me. Being a yoga teacher, these activities really enriched my experience and made my trip completely unique. Meju has a beautiful singing voice, plays guitar, and has a presence, as well as Fernanda. Sofy, Eddie, and Nef were great hosts - I didn't do as many of the evening activities because I am an early riser, but Sofy hosted them very well, quickly going back & forth in both Spanish and English so people understood. I was able to see the dance/acrobatic performance, water acrobatic show, an acoustic guitar soloist), and hear karaoke (some guests were outstanding!). Hyatt had top-tier performance artists. They were doing excellent cirque-type performances in sustained wind-gusts. I also went to the silent disco which was fun. They had a movie night, but it got rained out before the movie concluded. The weather was overcast 40-50% of the time, with a few rainy days early in the week. I enjoyed my food and did not have a bad meal. All my servers were excellent and working very hard (every employee works 6 days a week) to ensure I had a great vacation. The buffet restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner. I don't like buffets really, so this didn't bother me at all. It's all inclusive, honestly, you can order as much as you want. This is not a party resort and doesn't market itself as such- if you want to party, Hyatt has some other properties more suited for that energetic vibe all day. If you want fancier ambience, once again Hyatt has other properties for that. It's a good balance of fun, relaxation, chill vibes, and wellness, with a focus on sense of place & sustainability. It's good for couples, friends, babymooners, families (adult-only), retreat groups, and solo travelers. It's very casual. I recommend using the app to reserve your dinner restaurant each night. It's easy. Bring small bills for tips. These people are working really hard! Learn a few words of Spanish to make small talk, if you like. It's fun, and a more enriching experience when traveling. Hope this helps! Highly recommended

Do not recommend
The food was very disappointing. The resort doesn’t offer a buffet for lunch or dinner so you have to make reservations through the app (mine didn’t work for 3 of the 4 days) to eat at a restaurant, otherwise your only option is room service which wasn’t good in my opinion. When we attempted to eat at a restaurant we were told the wait was 45 minutes, after waiting that long the table still wasn’t ready and the host wasn’t able to give us a time frame. I’m 6 months pregnant so it was very upsetting to wait around to eat at an all inclusive resort. On our last night we were finally able to make reservations for dinner and then I got a notification an hour beforehand that it was canceled for no reason. We still went and were able to get seated and eat at the Italian restaurant which was good but the portions were very small and we asked if we could get another entree to take to the room, we were told they can’t do that. I was looking forward to relaxing on the beach and that was nearly impossible due to the loud DJ playing insufferable dubstep. I’ve been to Mexico 6 times and I’ve never left a bad review. I recommend staying at literally any other resort.

7/10 would go back. Food was great
All of the restaurants were delicious. The French and Italian might’ve been my favorite. It’s unfortunate you spend about TWO HOURS at a restaurant. I hope once construction is completed, there are buffet options for every meal for those who don’t want to waste time waiting for food to be prepared. Beach club and rooftop pool were beautiful. More activities would’ve been nice but for the deal we got on this place, I shouldn’t complain.

the worst Hyatt all-inclusive i ever have
if I rate about the hotel I will said this hotel can only be 3 stars. not even close to 4, we are globalist, we expect our room will ready when we arrive, we arrived at 12pm, the room not ready until 4:30pm, that is not acceptable, when we back to our room, our luggage not delivery to our room prior we get in to the room, we been waiting 45 min and call to the front desk to ask where is our luggage. we woke-up at 4am and arrive there without the proper rest. and the room giving me a lot issue during the night, it make my first day with the room come out with very bad experience. and the dinner will need to make reservation in order to be serve, but since we getting our room around 5pm, when we try to book, all the restaurant has been full, we need to wait until 9:30pm to be serve for our first dinner at the Hyatt vivid. The hotel stuff are lack of understanding English. Bartender doesn’t know how to make the drink in the menu, try to make it the drink like “sugar drink”, when we try to get in to vantage club for “premium alcohol” there is no premium alcohol, it provide the same level of alcohol around all the bar. When they run out the liquor, they not going to refill it, they just said they run out of that, told me to choice other one. Dinner was ok, but lack of choice of breakfast and lunch. Hotel not finish, only half of the hotel open, spa not open, but the stuff try to sell us to do spa in our room with those spa chair. Price is expensive charge, but not able to provide us spa service, that is doesn’t make sense. When we book the hotel, the website said we will getting the $200 gift card, “Receive one $200 Gift Card towards purchase of in-destination services provided by Amstar” when we ask the front desk, they give us the stupid useless voucher. They said this is what you got. I’m so mad at that time, it make me feel like I got scam, this is not right, this is misleading.

I expect more base on Hyatt standard
The hotel and the beach club are beautiful. The food at the beach club is good. The Breakfast has little to choose from, and it is the same every day. It gets old after 2nd day. Reserve dinner through the apps is easy. The app itself is easy to use and responsive. The vantage club offered a few perks, but it was not enticing enough for the upgrade. We met a lot of VC members who said the same thing. Sure, they get a few special drinks, but they often get food and drinks with us non-member. Here is what happens during our stay. We have room service every two days during our day stay. -Dirty floor after room service. - bottles of water never got refilled. We had to get room service or get our own from the bar. -out-of-body wash -The restaurant staff is awesome -The bartender is awesome -Waiter staff is awesome -Same breakfast daily -The wooden deck on the ground pool is slippery with or without shoes. -The sliding door to the balcony has constant whistling sounds from the wind. We tried everything, but it is what it is. -The bed is squeaky when moving or getting out of bed. I suggest putting something on the legs for the hard floor. And fix the wood frame. -This is an adult only, I expect a little more soundproofing on the wall. We can hear everything. -No music at the pool. We had the entertainment group come to do their things and when they leave they take their portable speaker with them. We ask the music to turn on for the pool area and they say they can’t. Everyone at the pool was so disappointed. Luckily, we had a couple with their little portable Bluetooth. We all shared our playlist with them to play. -The Ground Pool music playlist could be better. Everyone at the pool requested a different playlist and was turned down. I feel the music should cater to the majority of the people at the pool. The request was the 70s, 80s, and new music. We are not talking about obnoxious music. -Hurricane Helene passed by on Thursday, and the upstairs infinity pool was empty to about 1 foot. Make it no longer infinity. -A lot of pressure on the VIP program to become Hyatt members. I see the comment from the hotel in various reviews and feedback stating it is a new hotel, and they are still working out the logistics. If that was for other hotels, I would accept that statement. We are talking about Hyatt. Hyatt has been in this business for 60 years now.
