Not impressed
Very disappointed in the overall quality of stay at this hotel... I found it below standard for a Homewood Suites.. Breakfast was sub par and unappetizing.. For the price paid per night I expect a higher standard and choice of food offered… There is a homeless tented community on the sidewalk less than a block away.. Making the option of walking around the area unattractive and in doubt of your safety.

Not any issues
I was here for business. I use the Hilton honors app for everything. I messaged because I got into town a bit earlier then expected. And Vanessa was able to get me into my room early. Room was spacious and clean. Parking was 10 dollars a day that was no issue for me to have secured parking. I did not try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Vanessa reached out to see how everything was which I really appreciated.

Teriible. Homeless People!
The moment we pulled up the front of the hotel and got out of the car, there were homeless people yelling at each other. There is a Homeless outreach center or some kind of Homeless shelter right across the street for your viewing enjoyment. Our view also gave us a front-row seat to all the homeless people. We checked out within the hour once we found another hotel. Plus, NOTHING is within walking distance. The "action" of downtown is far away. I wish I knew this in advance. For the first time in Utah with my family on vacation, this is not where you want to stay.

Great room and price, but on far edge of most attractions and in the midst of large homeless population.
We loved the room… very nice space, clean and well equipped. The property though is on the far edge of main tourist attractions, and large numbers of homeless people are within a block - sometimes right outside the front doors. So in addition to feeling sorry for them, we kept a constant lookout over our shoulder. Also, included the breakfast wasn’t available our first morning (“chef didn’t come in”), yet no compensation was given. Or some sort of emergency food wasn’t provided by manager/staff (pastries, juice, etc. - they must have had something easy in the fridge/shelves to put out). We planned on breakfasts included, so of course we didn’t double-stock our room with that stuff. Nonetheless we’d stay here again if in SLC.

Don't Stay in room 425
Over all it was a nice stay. People were friendly and the facility is easy to get to and walking distance to many things in the downtown area. There is parking under the building with easy access to the freeway and airport. Breakfast was included which is a rarity these day. My room was showing some wear and my smoke alarm went off from the steam from the shower.
