Old hotel, has its best days behind it
The hotel is perfectly located, 5 minutes walk from the main beach Clearwater Beach. The reception was nice but limited, on the sheet you sign there was also a resort fee of 32$ (!!!) listed - I thought there would be an explanation for what or what was "included" in the booking. Nothing. I didn't ask because I thought there would be a manual in the room/per QR code which mentions what is in the resort fee. Nope. The elevator needed urgent maintenance or inspection, without exaggerating this elevator could also play in a horror movie. The squeaking, rattling and whistling does not make you feel safe. Arrived at our room, we had the misfortune to be in a connecting room with a connecting door. Accordingly, it was very noisy. There was an ice crusher in the hallway directly across from the door that spit out ice cubes at random every 1.5 hours, even in the middle of the night, making a deafening noise. The room itself is outdated, as some reviews have also mentioned previously. The necessary repairs are obvious (dirty office chair, wall stains covered with completely different color which looks even worse, mirror corners broken off). Nevertheless I need to say that it was really clean and no dirt to see in the bathroom. The air conditioner, not the permanently installed one but the one that was added because the general one apparently doesn't work anymore, makes a deafening noise that it's hard to think of sleeping. If you manage to get the balcony door open after a wrestling match, it is not better because then you hear the street noise and all the other running air conditioners. The Tiki Bar (Jimmys) by the pool offers cocktails for $9, in plastic cups, tastes like nothing and with tons of ice you wonder what you are actually paying $9 for. The restaurant Bar Grill or whatever, there you can only sit outside if you also eat something - so should you just want to drink a vacation cocktail "relaxed" and “outside” - no forget it; you are not wished there.

Good Bye, Holiday Inn
They now charge a mandated fee of $32 a night for parking & waterpark even if you don't have a vehicle to park or don't plan on going to a water park. They call it a "resort fee" Dirty outdated hotel!

Stay elsewhere, avoid the Hotel needing complete renovation!
Horrible! Good location on the water in Clearwater Beach but the hotel is in desperate need of full renovation. We were actually disgusted by the accommodations. Old out dated and just yuk! For the $1400 price for three nights, absolutely should have chosen elsewhere. Husband is member of IHG and will be complaining to their site. By the way the photos do not do it justice. I wish it looked as good as the photos, NOT. Place is wore out! UPDATE: Response received from : Christine Bottger, General Manager of Holiday Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach, Florida was that we should have let her know during our stay. And what would that solve? Could she have the outdated and worn hotel renovated white we were there? I stand by my review. This place is VERY outdated and worn. Three nights April 27-30, 2023 for $1400 total. We could have found much better accommodations at that price. My bad for not researching more.

Stay somewhere else.
The check in process was a nightmare. I was charged up front for the room and parking on my debit card when it was already paid for on another credit card. I did receive a refund for this but the staff was unfriendly and unapologetic. The room was mediocre at best. We had a two bedroom suite, the bunk bed ladder was unsecured and broken and unsafe for my kids, the silverware drawer was broken and fell every time you opened it, even the paint on the walls was patchy and unkept. Do not recommend.
