Okay for just a night
Pros: This hotel is walking distance to Bayside Market and a very short cab ride to the Port of Miami. The beds were super comfortable. Restaurant onsite was good. Cons: I will say that the hotel is dated and tired. The air conditioning didn’t seem to be able to keep up with the hot Miami weather. The room looked worn and dirty.
Stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. First of all, the building is in no way marked. When the taxi dropped us off we had no idea we were there, it just looked like a crumbling old building. Walking inside was like stepping into an old man’s house who has worn the same cheap aftershave for 60 years. The fake scent was overpowering and clearly trying to cover up what I assume was musty dampness common in humid climates. The hotel was old and dated, but at least it seemed clean. Each bed creaked every time you moved, sounding worse than the bed in your grandma’s basement that only gets used during the holidays. The female bartender was beyond rude, offering scathing looks to anyone who might want service. The only real bright spot was Ice at the front desk. He was helpful and charming. In all, would definitely NOT recommend and will never stay here again.
Very close to restaurants, shopping and the port of Miami. The hotel is ok for a overnight stay but that's it. The hotel rooms are dated . Our room had a musty smoky smell. Front desk was very informative and friendly. We ate at the restaurant for a quick breakfast. It was very basic but all we needed.
This hotel was close to the cruise terminal. The room seem ok until I started coughing. I checked the air filter in the room and it was filthy. I had to leave the room at 8 Am. We ate at the restaurant and it was good. The lobby was also impressive. I told the front desk about the air filter in our room.
Worse holiday inn ever !
Booked my 2 night reservation through trip advisor plus , check in is at 4:00 , we arrived at 5:00 . Miami heat and a concert was in town for the weekend, when checking in we were told no more king rooms available, we received a small room with a double bed , I showed the check in guy my confirmation for a king room . He just said sorry no more king rooms only one double left .. we had booked 7 months out with a confirmation of a kingbed .. The room smelled musty , paint chips on walls , wall socket pulled from wall , a total disaster .. after 7 phone calls and 4 trips to the front desk we were finally moved the second evening around 5:30 to a king bed .. horrible service , rude lady at front desk . This hotel is so outdated , pool is no longer in service , funky sweet obnoxious smell in lobby and hotel areas , I would never stay here again , nor ever recommend this hotel ..
