Prime Location, Comfortable and Safe!
My mom and I were in San Francisco for the Queen and Adam Lambert concert and wanted to stay close to Fishermans Wharf. This hotel is perfectly located. 5 minute walk to Fishermans Wharf and 7 minutes to the Alcatraz Ticket Booth. It was also less than 5 minutes to the Big Bus Tour's first stop. We felt safe and so comfortable. We both slept well and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We would definitely be back if we find ourselves in SF again.

Convenient Location
Take-away: Typical holiday inn in a convenient location in Fisherman’s wharf. Pros Location: In Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood, walkable to the ferry to Alcatraz (approx 15 minutes), Pier 39 (approx 10 minutes) and Ghiradelli square and Lombard street (approx 5 minutes). Room (booked king bed standard): Good size clean room, plenty of space for suitcases. In addition to the bed, the room had 2 bedside tables, a dresser, a desk with chair and a chaise longue. The room also has an open closet. The bathroom had a lot of counter space. No view- room faced an internal cement courtyard (not accessible). Security: Room key always needed to access elevator and room key needed to access outside of hotel after hours. Cons Early Check-in Fee: Early check-in (around 12:30p) was only possible for an additional fee. I was able to leave luggage in a secured baggage area for free until check-in at 3pm. Internal Noise: Could hear noise from hallway / nearby room. Not terrible (no need for ear plugs) but louder than expected. Other Things to Know Breakfast: Included in room rate. Food area is off the lobby and has fruit, pastries / bagels, cereal and hot food in chafing fishes (scrambled eggs, breakfast meats) available. Opened at 6:30am. Utilizes paper plates, plastic silverware. Coffee available all day in lobby.

Great hotel
I loved the location! Very convenient! We felt safe! When we checked in , the gentleman checking us in was super helpful. Breakfast was good. If I'm ever in the SF area again, I will stay here.

Find a better hotel where guests can’t see in your room
The hotel is in a good location but there are a number of hidden fees. Early check in? $35 resort fee$63. The worst part is the lack of privacy. Most rooms face dark interior courtyards so people in other rooms can see directly into yours! Rooms are extremely small.

Walking distance to Pier 39
I took ages booking a hotel as a solo traveller due to the reports of crime in San Francisco. I could not have chosen better than this hotel. Check in was a breeze and my room was large, clean and quiet. I was given excellent walking directions to the Pier and felt safe walking alone in the area. The breakfast was brilliant with lots of choice and it kept being topped up. There is a pool here but I did not use nor did I gave a car, so cannot comment on the parking. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone
