Ho Hum
Friendly staff in a very tired hotel. I actually did not realize there were two Holiday Inns at Easton, and meant to book the other, which, from what I have been told, is much nicer. Although the staff were friendly and polite, I would not stay at this tired hotel again. The artwork was horrible as well.

You can hear your neighbors every little move.
This may have been my worst hotel experience of all time. The noise at this hotel was INSANE. I understand it’s not the hotels fault when noisy people rent a room. But it is the hotels fault when I can hear people from clear down the hall while in my room late into the night. You could tell the staff just didn’t want to deal with it. We stay at lots of hotels throughout the year, and I have never experienced anything this bad. It’s also the hotels fault that I woke up at 5am hearing the people across the hall from us having sex. I should not be able to hear other peoples moans, screams, and slaps while in my room. And I’m sure the couple making those noises wouldn’t appreciate knowing they had been heard. Something needs to be done to soundproof your rooms better. Seriously no privacy.

Do not recommend.
Would not stay here again. Pros: friendly staff, proximity to Easton, nice breakfast. Cons: NO blinds or curtains on window in bedroom. BEWARE, desk attendant stated that prior guests had broken them, so they wouldn’t be replacing until they renovated. Stared that there were multiple rooms with the same situation. Couldn’t move us as the night was completely booked. We stayed two nights and did NOT sleep well both nights. Thin walls… loud noises all night even though we were on the top floor. Sounded like banging from above. Very little shampoo in shower dispenser. Pool was closed the first night of our stay. Hot tub was drained with yellow construction tape all around. Room cleanliness was so-so. Only half of the electric switches worked and no USB plugs worked. Stains all over the sofa and was not comfortable for my young niece to sleep on. I would recommend checking out the Hilton next door.

Overpaid for poor experience
My husband and I are seasoned travelers and understand that often things do not go as planned - but this experience was especially poor. Do not stay here. Our room was next to the elevator and the walls were thin, but otherwise everything seemed fine. Unfortunately when we returned from dinner, we found that the AC was broken. The room temp was in the high 70s. We called the front and the only other room available was missing the curtain. We went downstairs, got the key, packed up and moved rooms. We asked if we could put a blanket over the curtain rod and were told absolutely not. The window was quite large and faced a very busy intersection. So headlights went coming at us all night, the morning sunrise came directly into the window, and of course no privacy. Since this was not the experience we paid for, we asked the front desk if they would give us a discount. The gal gave me the GM's card. I have left the GM several messages with no return call. We feel we overpaid for a terrible experience.

Sudden change of check-in requirement than previously agreed upon broke trust and drove away guests
Never complete the check-in process so can't comment on all aspects as a standard review would. This review only covers the "check in" experience. Arrived at the hotel without a reservation. Asked the front desk, staff, Krischell, about room availability. She was helpful and even showed two rooms to me. I felt comfortable of the check-in requirement and the room she showed me though they were multiple spots that needed cleaning, she said she would get someone to help cleaning it. So I made the reservation. I showed her my ID and credit card, she took at them. When she's done, I put my ID away. A few minutes later, she asked for my ID again, and this time, she wanted to hold it and take down my address and other info from my ID, all those were not what we agreed upon. I told her how i felt she did not honor her words and she turned around saying I did not allow her to take my ID. I told her it's COVID and I have to sanitize it each time others hold it. I held up my ID close enough for her to view. She got upset and started tending to other guests. I asked her why would she not look at my ID more carefully when she first asked for it and I showed her. Then there would not no need of a second time; and I cooperated but I just did not want extra step of needing to clean and sanitize my ID after each showing. She did not respond and continued to tend to other guests. I waited for 15 minutes, and she still did not want to check me in so I told her I would leave and please kindly provide refund when I ask Expedia for it since I booked through Expedia. She said that's no problem, just contact them the next day and the manager will authorize the refund. I did not complete the check in process nor stay in the hotel. As of this writing, I still can't refund the full refund from the hotel via Expedia. I don't feel comfortable recommending this hotel because they changed their requirements suddenly and did not care how it would impact guests. The rooms weren't all that clean either. There are plenty lodging options in that area, better to go elsewhere.
