Ants!
I am in this hotel as I type. Last night, in the middle of the night, I felt things "crawling". The bed was full of ANTS. I had a cup of water (just water) on the nightstand, and my cup was also covered in ants. The carpet, elevators, and all public areas above the first floor are overworn and dirty. Never again.

Joseph and the elusive hotel shuttle
We are staying at this hotel for convenience to the airport. When I landed, I called the hotel to reserve the hotel shuttle at terminal 2. The gentleman who answered on behalf of the hotel told me the driver was leaving now and to wait at E. After waiting 30 minutes with no shuttle, I again called the hotel and spoke with the same gentleman. This time he told me that the driver was waiting for a hotel guest and would grab me after dropping that passenger off at the airport. Fast forward 20 more minutes and no driver. I happen to look in the opposite direction of E and see the shuttle passing in the through lane. I chased and was able to catch the shuttle. The driver had no idea anyone was waiting because no one told her. When I got to the hotel, I went to the front desk and asked the gentleman if he was the one I spoke to twice about the shuttle. He said yes. When I asked him why he never told the driver I was waiting (in 46 degree rainy weather with no cover at E), he rudely tried to tell me that there are two drivers and he did. Clearly this was not the case because the driver I was able to catch was the one who just dropped off the hotel guest. When I told him I would be reviewing the hotel on advisor, he said to make sure to use his name. As I’m sitting soaking wet in the lobby waiting to check in, I can hear Joseph at the front desk gossiping about his night out. No concern about customer service or the reputation of the hotel. If you plan to stay at this hotel for its convenience to the airport, DON’T. If I hadn’t chased the shuttle, I’d still be standing in the rain. To whomever owns and manages this hotel, Joseph is a liability to your business. He is not only incompetent but rude. He clearly does not value your clientele or your business.

Everything smells of smoke.
The room, linen, bedsheets everything smelt of smoke. We booked a room with two queen beds. Was given one with small beds. They knew 4 of us were coming; there were two towels in the rooms No extra mattresses or pillows. Restaurant was very nice for dinner. Breakfast was free. Eggs chargeable

Great deal!
Front desk staff very helpful and courteous and caring. Hot breakfast served to you. Fresh berries! Great bus service to cruise port and very organized plus 21 days free parking! 👌 One elevator was not working in the morning but everyone got to the lobby with luggage.

Do not waste your time with this hotel
This hotel was booked for a single night stay prior to departing on a cruise the following morning, which I have done numerous times in the past. After over an hour wait and two phone calls to the hotel for the shuttle van (on the second of which I was informed that the shuttle van had passed the pickup location twice, which was strange as none of the 4 people who eventually boarded the can had seen it pass), we arrived at the hotel to be checked into two rooms, one of which the keys did not function and the other room was still dirty from either the previous night, or a day use room. The hallways appear to not have been vacuumed in at least a week and, of the two elevators, only one was functional for a 6 story, mostly full hotel. This hotel is now just a flop house for Spirit airlines crew, for whom the airport shuttle basically runs a dedicated service and does not bother with the actual guests of the hotel (not the fault of the shuttle driver as the front desk does not bother to inform them of guests needing pickup). The air conditioners in the room sound like a fright train running through the rooms and the refrigerators are just about as noisy. This hotel continues to deteriorate at an alarming pace. With the abundance of available hotels in the South Florida/Ft. Lauderdale area I would certainly recommend choosing another hotel for a stay of any length
