Not Great
Been coming here for years now for a yearly conference. Building is really starting to show its age. Of the 8 or so elevators, only like 3 worked during my stay. When you have 400 people trying to use them at the same time to get lunch, it takes awhile to get where you need to go. I was here Monday till Friday morning. Never saw housekeeping once. My trash cans were overflowing and I never received fresh towels. A little disappointed.

Bad Experience
The rooms were dirty and out dated. They messed up my billing and it took a week to have my credit card refunded. When attempting to contact billing department their lines were busy and I had to send an email. I had to contact reservations department to request them to email me a copy of my final billing.

Major decline in a beautiful casino, shameful.
I visited Harrah's regularly 20 years ago and moved to the East Coast. I returned to Harrah's this last weekend. I was shocked at the decline of the property. 20 years ago, Harrah's was the class casino in Lake Tahoe. Now I see a 3rd class casino that made me sorry for the memory of Mr. Harrah. I parked for no more than 90 minutes and had to pay $25.00 for parking. There were very few people gambling. I saw maybe 15 people playing at the tables. I had the highest card Harrah's offered when I lived in Calif. now, I felt actually dirty being there. It is a shame because of the wonderful history of Harrah's. Recommendation, go someplace else!

End of a fun era. Now a absolute mess.
Ok. So comp rooms. Use to be diamond players. But it went down hill so bad we quit. But started coming back because traveling from home in California to vacation home in another state. This is really sad to say but the wonderful fun and atmosphere is gone. This hotel is extremely deteriorated. I mean bad. The fun and excitement is not there anymore. Tahoe is going back to the old " bad" state it was before the tram came into town. Harvey's I refuse to stay in. Hard rock which just got bout out is really bad. Supposedly all these places are " renovating " for the last 3 years. Nothing. Stayed at an Indian casino a few days back. Beautiful clean. No parking charges. No resort fees. The " Brian" who replies and has his description as " hotel owner" keeps saying exciting things are coming. I doubt the owner would be replying. Anyway couldn't take a shower in one bathroom. Picture explains that. Tub has paint splattered everywhere. Sheets were barely tucked in. Old. Very old furniture. Unless your room is free ( not really, 20 plus resort fee and parking fees at 20$ a day) Tables 25$ minimum if they are open. Just no fun anymore.

Love the area and scenery, but renovate this hotel
Beautiful 5 star location, two bathrooms, room is spacious, but the hotel rooms need a re-do. The rooms are clean, but the furnishings are showing wear and tear, and we've been visiting for decades, so we know. Restaurants are walking distance (or eat in the hotel). Try BaseCamp toward the Heavenly Valley shopping area.
