The property is definitely adequate for SJD!
We stayed at this property prior to attending a wedding in CSL. After 5 nights, we moved to an all-inclusive resort for an additional 3 nights. As a frequent traveler, I like to read reviews of places I am considering to stay at, so I like to provide honest feedback for future potential guests. The front desk staff here at the Hampton, while pleasant enough, seemed too young and not empowered to make decisions. The housekeeping staff, while super nice & sweet, need to be schooled on the proper steps of hotel housekeeping, Too many details were consistently missed. I repeatedly had to chase them down for the basics . . . toilet paper, kleenexes, wash cloths hand towels, bath towels, etc... There were 2 of us, and we had zero wash cloths, one hand towel, and sometimes they would only leave us one or maybe two bath towels. It seemed really odd. A brush up training course would do wonders! As Diamond members, I have to say we did not feel appreciated at all. The difference in customer service became glaringly obvious when we moved to the next property. I recognize there are price points, and you get what you pay for, but I think the current management needs to provide additional training in customer service to their staff. They all have potential. They just need some confidence. Lastly, the rooftop pool was a nice surprise, and the rooftop bar reopened for the summer season the 2nd day we were there. The bartender, Mau, found his stride by about the 3rd day. Since it's fairly close to the airport, we might stay here again, but mainly because we loved the convenience of the dining choices at El Merkado. It's really nice!
Great view and accommodations!
We had a short stay that was very pleasant, this hotel is wishing parking lot distance to restaurants that have excellent food! It’s close to a shopping mall and Freskos the suite had a small refrigerator and kitchen which was great for left overs and waters.
The facilities were nice and clean. However, this is not a place to stay if you cannot fluently speak Spanish. They had only one staff person that could speak and understand English. I wouldn't stay again
Great stay for the money
I loved so many things about this property. I loved the comfortable bed and clean room. The location was amazing, close to the beach and close to good food and transportation. The staff was pleasant and caring. The breakfast food was delicious and had a nice variety. The only thing I did not like was the heavily used and stained furniture in the lobby. Otherwise it would be 10 out of 10.
Nice spacious rooms and breakfast better than expected but Hotel did not provided the service as expected for someone who has a Diamond status with Hilton Honors. Pool not heated n Gym with only 1 machine working
