    Place has sadly gone downhill

Solo trip to pick my daughter up from college. I have stayed here in the past and loved it -but was so disappointed with this stay. The room was not clean. Dust all over the coffee maker. Multiple black pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. The door to the balcony was broken, towels stained. My room was just above the Tiki Bar kitchen and all I could smell was old grease and cigarette smoke from the employees. I will not stay here again. I am a silver Hilton honors member and this is one of the worst stays I’ve experienced.

    GRUNGE!

This Hampton certainly does not live up to the Hampton brand. I went to this hotel because of the reliability of the name. Not again. I will start out with the positives: the coffee available all day was great - and the coffee was good! The location was good too. Unfortunately, that is about all I can find for this hotel. I chose this hotel for the beach access and open pool due to storm damage preventing these from many hotels. The access to the beach was okay - but who puts up a new set of stairs to ocean and leaves a 2-foot-deep gap from curb to stairs - just odd. Now the pool is another story on its own - I do not believe in the 6 days I spent there that either the pool or the hot tub was cleaned - or the area around the chairs, the amount of sand and dirt was off-putting. The pool area is small and shabby, and damage done by hurricane takes a little from pool area but not much. It was dirty and not very appealing. It seems like no attendants were paying attention to whether towels were there or not. Disappointing. The Tikki Hut - is grungy - and everything about it was unappealing. They have a DJ spinning music - no live here. Breakfast - first day the staff was rude to us customers because - how dare we think there should be food at 9 when complimentary breakfast was supposed to be available from 6-10. AS if we were the rude ones asking for eggs/potatoes because the dishes were empty and having to listen the BS that it would take an hour to cook. Terrible!! Unacceptable. (I did see later the front desk talking to same kitchen woman and laughing it up retelling the story.) The room itself lacked a table or chair in our room so it was awkward. We had a King and only KG beds are available in disabled rooms - which is normally fine. However, when a closet is cut in two with a shelf in middle it defeats the purpose of hanging anything longer than a shirt. Not enough space or closet for clothes/belongings. The room needs a deep cleanliness, which is for sure. Beware if you have a connecting room as well - the walls/doors are paper thin. You can hear everything from your neighbors, especially the yapping dogs! Cable TV was out for two days - I called the front desk and they stated they had a problem and it rebooted so it should be just a matter of time. The next day I asked at the front desk because we had very limited channels and was told they had to get a technician and it would take a few hours - comment was "those Florida storms" - okay was it the storms or cable though it was listed as DISH. Parking - crazy. They have lost space and now have tables outside of Tikki Hut - if you do not get back to the hotel early - there are no spots to park. They have cars parked at the check-in and all over. They might want to consider figuring this out or eliminating the unnecessary tables outside the hut. Good luck if you choose this hotel, hopefully you have a better stay.

    Horrible hotel!

This hotel was impacted in Fall 2022 by hurricane and as of March 31, 2023 still has damage! The Tiki bar onsite has plywood up - so you can't see the water. The pool area has chain link fencing and plywood up - very ugly. Beach access is NOT ADA! They need to put a notice when booking within the Hilton site that there are issues with the beach front. We paid a lot for 1 night and were very disappointed. There are other hotels that are beachfront that are much better!
