NO SLEEP FOR YOU!
NO SLEEP FOR YOU! One night out of seven, there was no bass pounding live music or DJ weddings on the beach. The party goes till 1 am every night. The sound carries to the rooms as the halls are open air. So if you're OK with a 1 am. bedtime, you are set here. It's really too bad because the location is beautiful. The staff are all very nice. The food was very good, definitely 4 stars there. Great steaks, Ahi Tuna, Mahi Mahi. An excellent variety of fruit, vegetables and just about any dish you can think of at the buffet. The Asian,Mexican, and international restaurants were excellent. The rooms are dated, and we are OK with that. The beds were comfortable. However, they are in a bit of disrepair. Overall I would not come back nor recommend the hotel because of the wedding bands and DJ bass noise. No reason for outdoor music to be at night club levels.

Family Stay
We were disappointed with the stay in general. We had heard many good things about Palladium Resorts in general and I guess we were expecting more. Food was the biggest disappointment. Beds were uncomfortable too!

Great staff
The staff at the resort were very friendly. A special thank you to Villevaldo & Miriam who provided exceptional service at Bosque. As well as Arcadio who went above and beyond to order a special meal for us st the Bosque restaurant. Castro from the lobby was also very friendly and helpful. A draw back would be that the last two days we were only able to have cold showers as there was no hot water.

Do NOT choose Grand Palladium VAllarta - there are many better choices on Banderas Bay
We have stayed at 4 different resorts on the coast near Vallarta and this was our worst experience for 4 reasons. 1) We booked the Ambassador Suite ($1000US/night), so that we could have a sitting room and large balcony where our children and grandchildren could gather. No where on the website were we informed that our family would NOT be allowed in our room because they had not booked in "Family Selection". We had to pay hundreds of dollars per night to upgrade them so that they could visit our room. 2) We reserved transportation through the link on the hotel website but when we arrived at the airport, there was no one to meet us. We inquired of all reps there; one even called his company. After a 30 minute wait, we called the hotel. They said that they did not handle the transportation and gave us another number to call. There was no answer and the voicemail was full. We took a cab expecting a credit on our bill for the $150US fare. It did not happen. The hotel blamed it on the transportation company who in turn blamed the hotel. DO NOT BOOK YOUR TRANSPORTATION THRU THE LINK! 3) Everytime that we were in our room for more than 10 minutes the lights would go off. We thought it was a motion detector malfunction and called 3 times for maintenance. No one ever came. The only way we could keep the lights on was to open the door to the hallway every 10 minutes. 4) The food in 2 of the 4 restaurants was very disappointing.

Very satisfied
Very good service and the restaurants are excellent. Our daughter is celiac and she had special meals prepared for her every day. Thanks to Efren, Gabiela and the team! They were very helpful. The kids are also well treated and the shows are fun in the evenings
