Poor customer service
Upon arrival, we were told that the reserved room would not be quiet, because it was near the pool (Punta Cana resort). We were proposed to move near the ocean in the Bavaro section, for an extra 250$US. With confidence, we accepted to pay and move. However, the next night a water infiltration occurred. Il took 31/2 hours to send someone to check, then report then decide to move us to another room where there was no hair dryer, broken refrigetor and safe. Even if we stayed 9 days, the hair dryer never came and the safe was repaired on the 8th day after a whole night of alarm ticking! I was invited to write a complain, which I did, but final answer was to address the problem to our travel agent because Grand palladium is not responsible. We only asked for the 250$ refund because we were not upgraded but downgraded! We lost more or less 8 hours, going from one administration to the other and waiting for someone to come and repair the safe.
Grand Palladium Punta Cana - Feb 2024
Nice resort and beautiful beaches. Aside from the scenery, I would not recommend this resort to anyone. After previously staying at Grand Palladium in Mexico, I was expecting the same type of service and 5 star stay in Punta Cana but was extremely let down. This stay was very disappointing. Would recommend any other resort in the Bavaro area but would strongly recommend elsewhere than Grand Palladium. If you want good service, look elsewhere
Great resort but for our rooms.
This resort is large with a lot of options for pools, restaurants, activities, bars beach that are all very good quality. The food and people were also great. Our rooms (6513 and 7213) were very poor and need significant upgrades as they negatively impacted our stay.
Can be better value for that money.
Room cleaning were poor. No bottled water in bars. Could be better value for that money. Beach is beautifull. Most staff, expect waitres in buffe restaurants, were great and very kind. Tourist car drivers should pass some trainning.
Unsanitary. Poor service. Price gouging
I’ve stayed at multiple all inclusives without any issues or complaints. Unfortunately my family and I had a terrible experience at Grand Palladium Bavaro. From the start there were issues. They never sent us the travel voucher so we had to pay for our own shuttle. Our room didn’t have power for the first hour and the sink was plugged. Our fridge didn’t work which we needed for our little one’s milk. We called multiple times for days and they would not replace it. Finally my mother in law badgered the front desk multiple times for 2 days and they finally replaced it (this took 4 days). We asked for washcloths the whole time; never received them. The buffet was unsanitary with stray cats walking around the dining room. There was no regard for food allergies at all (serving spoons were limited and mixed in with all different kinds of food). The wait staff was very delayed in taking our drink orders or just plain didn’t bring them. We were constantly badgered to buy from vendors to the point of following us down the road. The drug store prices were extremely overinflated. The worst part was my son contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease while there and is still sick.
