    Stay away!

My overall experience is very bad due to the spoiled food being served all over the resort. My whole family was very sick with vomiting and diarea for most of our stay. My 4 year old daughter was puking almost every night and she also did in Portofino restaurant. Stuff looked concerned and offered to bring her to the doctor. We waited for 30 min for them to bring us to the doctor, then waited 15 min for doctor to open office, then I was given a form to fill up and after filling up I was told I need to pay €400 for the consultation. This is ridiculous! She got sick from the poor quality of food in this resort and had to even pay to be seen by their doctor at their resort. After I spoke to manager nothing happened and no one offered any solution. Very disappointed!

Needs renovations. Buffet is the same every day.

I travelled with my husband and our 10 month baby. - Check in: all 3 lobbies were hot no AC. Bell boy was helpful. Reception needs to be faster - Grounds: nicely maintained. There r 3 resorts that guests can use freely so expect to walk a lot or wait for the trolleys for 10 mins. We had a stroller so we walked everywhere. - Food: buffets were repetitive. We tried 3 a La carts. Italian was NOT good, my husband felt sick from bad cheese. Japanese was ok we wanted to see the teppanyaki cook. Asian was good finally there was flavour. We both had upset stomachs. - Beach: nice! Not too deep and wavy. Plenty of chairs - Pools: 1 out of 3 was decent and clean. Use the pool that is next to the nice kids pool with the pirate ship. - Staff: friendly and efficient - ROOMS: OUTDATED. Needs major renovations. There was no fan in the washroom. It felt moldy and damp. The window did not have a screen to keep mosquitoes out so we didn’t keep it open. Whirlpool tub was disgustingly dirty we didn’t use. The towels had mold spots. Tiles had cracks everywhere. AC worked well. Crib was too deep for me to grab my baby. Luckily we had 2 queens and pushed it together and was able to safely have my baby sleep on one bed. I would not return to this resort nor recommend to friends and family.

    Things need to change

Pros Beautiful place, well meticulously landscaped, entertainment staff was wonderful and pool side waiters and bar tenders were on point. Resort is huge but the availability of carts and personal to take you places are plentiful. Plenty of food options if you can’t get a reservation which is difficult. Cons Told us we could upgrade to a swim out room at a discounted rate and when we tried to pay said someone else already booked it. Then tried to tell us there was another option for 3 days at full price. Took us to our room which was not ready as housekeeping was still cleaning and told us to go upstairs in the rooftop jacuzzi area in the heat to wait while they finished. After 40 minutes they came and got use to say room had an issue and needed to switch us. Housekeeping accidentally took my daughters blanket while cleaning (accidents happen I get that) for 2 days we made multiple attempts to get it back even at checkout to no avail but as soon as I landed in the USA I had an email saying they found it and would ship it back for $88USD. Ridiculous. Also no staff servicing the swim out pools. Used the app to order room service 4 times and only once did the food arrive after we called on landline to find out where it was.

    DR Trip

Exercise caution when dining at Helios Restaurant. I fell ill for three days after eating there. Another guest mentioned that out of a group of 35, half got sick after eating at the same place. We both believe the steak was the culprit.
