    Best trip in a long time.

    Our first week we stayed at a different resort for a wedding event.This particular resort was not easy to navigate, stairs, stairs, stairs. Not impressed. The Fiesta Americana was awesome, staff, amenities, location the best. Most staff were able to speak english. We had a Google translate app handy if we couldn’t communicate. Close enough to do exploring & shopping.

    Terrible Experience ..

    So we were staying nearby at Las Brisas Hotel and I was tasked with finding a hotel in the centre of Acapulco for our second week = 2 suites. I walked into the foyer and as I was approaching the front desk I was accosted by a security guard who told me to “get out” .. I tried to explain but he didn’t understand simple English and was very rude to me. He tried to take me by the are and kept pointing at my wrist indicating that I should have a wrist band on. I wouldn’t let him touch me, but I did walk out. Clearly he was interpreting hotel policy which is “if a smart looking man from the U.K. walks in to make a genuine enquiry, throw him out, physically if necessary” .. I have stayed at Fiesta Americano in Cancun several times.

    Great property.

    Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was loaded with options and very good. Facilities were great. Pool/beach areas were great. Highly recommend this hotel. It is also within walking distance of a great deal of restaurants. Will definitely return here. Housekeeping is great as well. Very clean, etc.

    Lovely resort

    A great resort, great beach, great restaurants, no time share people hounding us all day like the Grand Mayan. No extra hidden fees of hundreds of dollars like the Grand Mayan. Great snorkeling in the rocks in front of the resort. All around great place. Get an ocean facing unit to reduce noise impact from the nightclubs.
