The best Vegas accommodations and resturants in the city...
Since the day they first opened, The Wynn has been my go to hotel in Las Vegas. It's the most upscale hotel/casino offering the best buffet that Vegas has to offer. The restaurants are all first class and the room accommodations are the most luxurious. I've been going to Vegas from 1978 till now and they are simply the best!

Still the best on the Strip
Still the most luxurious hotel on the Strip. The decor is indulgent yet still classy. Exceptional customer service from all staff we encountered from front desk to the pool boys (thanks Josh!). Housekeeping was prompt with our requests - on two separate occasions, they brought up our requested ear plugs and hotel slippers within 20 mins of request. The spa was the most indulgent experience. I've been to numerous hotel/destination spas and see a regular massage therapist at home. The massage therapist at Encore was fabulous, and the spa itself needs to be experienced. I think the whirlpool are eucalyptus infused, and I need to find out where I can buy the chocolate covered cranberries that they served in the spa. Will definitely be back, or at least stay at the Wynn!

Was hoping for an Encore to the Stay...Left feeling slightly underwhelmed.
I was really looking forward to the stay, knowing full well that the location was what it was. Left feeling that this was not the exceptional stay I had hoped for. The room was nice, but not wow. The small things were missing that would have made the stay exceptional. No bath salts for the tub, for example. It was very good, but not excellent. The tablet controls were convenient for some tasks, like controlling the drapes and lights, but made others like changing the tv channel laborious and clumsy. The internet speed was too slow for quality zoom calls. When I am paying close to $500 a night for a room, I expect good internet speeds - not to pay extra for them. No breakfast, no special touches to make this stay memorable in any way. The food at the outlets was mediocre and overpriced - not a great combination. Didn't have a chance to dine at the steakhouse, was shocked at how early the restaurants closed - this is a casino resort - right? Looks like the club was only open on weekends. another unpleasant surprise No enjoyable space to have a drink and socialize after 11 PM. None. I started to question if I had made the right choice by the end of the first day. No pool. Wow. Want to enjoy the spa facilities? That will cost you. The gym was nice enough - definitely not as nice as it could have been in terms of nautilus equipment and free weights - except for the overflowing trash bin of tiny water bottles. Why not install a water cooler and clean the trash more frequently? There are those little things again. Looking forward to working out 24/7? Not here. The gym is open 6 am to 9 pm. This blew my mind. Why? Overall it was an average stay. I expected excellence and got mediocrity. The Encore does not justify the cost and the location, unless you are here to gamble exclusively. Then you will at least have a short commute home. I would not stay here again, unless I wanted to go on a gambling binge, which is highly unlikely. Thanks for the free valet parking, that was the one pleasant surprise. Otherwise a series of small disappointments.

Lost a good part of my first night
I made a reservation to come here months ago. I was planning on meeting some friends here and having a few days of fun. The hotel is nice in one of the more classy areas of Las Vegas. It smells nice the works of art and the flowers are always on point. The staff is normally very welcoming and deserving of some mention. Lashay was the staff member who welcomed us to the hotel. She was very prompt and professional. However, I did change my travel plans and decided to drive out when my friends still decided to fly out and arrived earlier than me. This has happened before in Los Angeles and New York, I've never had a problem adding anyone to my reservation, especially if they were staying with me. Occasionally they even check in on my behalf and relax while I make my way to the establishment. On this occasion, for some reason which still hasn't been explained to me, I was unable to add anyone to my room. I didn't arrive till later in the day and my friends were stranded while waiting in the Encore for hours unable to access the room. I feel as though half a day was stolen from us. It's a cheap trick to not allow people to be added to a room reservation. I spent hours trying to add them, talked to numerous personnel and at the end of the day failed to be able to add anyone to the room. Just dreadful. I still feel bad for my friends whom I invited and am very disappointed in the Encore for basically stealing half a days worth of accommodations that I rightfully reserved and paid for and refused to allow any of the guests I had to be added to the room reservation. Instead I had to rush and then Check-In and THEN and ONLY THEN could I add someone to the room. What is the purpose of that policy? Why is it so obtuse? What could possibly be the reason for such a strict protocol that basically stole from me? Did I really need to be there in person? I couldn't give my credit card number over the phone to check-in and then add a guest. Instead you make my friends wait out in the desert heat, while you deny any access to the room no one was using? Does that seem fair? I think it's a horrid policy and I think I should get a refund for my lost half of a day. I think I should be allowed a late check out for my troubles. It's ludicrous to think that you were so obstinate in your denial of letting me add anyone to the reservation. The operators on the phone were equally stubborn. Asking question after question, and even though I provided itinerary details the credit card used to pay the reservation, on top of providing confirmation numbers I STILL could not add anyone to the reservation. Just a straight up absolute fail on the part of the Encore. I just don't understand rules like that. It made my trip so much less enjoyable. Imagine losing a whole half of your day? If you don't want to get robbed of a portion of your stay, you may consider staying elsewhere. Certainly the attention to detail is only for the people present. The customer service staff that man the phones are truly useless. The room was nice and the pools were fun. I regret not adding the names of my friends when I made the reservation and I still am aghast I lost most of the first day here because of the unfair policy in place. The staff is stellar and nice to your face. But over the phone, you're treated like true garbage. I expected better and was wholeheartedly disappointed I know other places in Vegas aren't so absent minded when it comes to common sense. You may be less satisfied with their decor and fragrances but when push comes to shove over being treated right, I can't say I recommend coming here. Because they'll only do it to your face.

Excellent Service before I even arrived!
I am looking forward to a visit next week and already so impressed with the level of customer service I received on the phone. I called to ask for guidance choosing and making reservations for several restaurants at the property. Luis was so helpful and took care of everything....including help deciding how to handle a possible late night arrival. The discussion put my mind at ease and most of all, left me hopeful for an excellent visit. I have looked forward to staying at the Wynn/Encore for years! Great customer service is where it's at!
