Not worth the price
It looked good in lobby but rooms were not maintained, looked dinghy, were missing frames, had wallpaper peeling. The room had webs, the tub tap was broken and tap was leaking all the time. Elevator was dirty too.

Overpriced for location and amenities
Location is a little scary. They allow homeless people to approach guests outside of lobby entrance. I was asked multiple times for money. The rooms are very expensive and they do not even offer a cup of coffee in the morning. Line was very long to check into the room. I will not be using this motel again fir future LA visits.

Good recognition of Hilton members
One night stay during a layover. Felt recognised as a Hilton member with a generous room upgrade. We used the credit for dinner at the restaurant and food was delicious. Rooms are dated but well maintained, the bathrooms have been recently refurbished and were modern. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel.
The hotel is located in a nice place near city hall. The building is kind of old but clean. The restaurant we wanted to have dinner at,closed at 9 sharp which was inconvenient and weird. We had to pay extra for parking and valet was even more expensive. They welcome guests with hot chocolate and walnut cookies which was nice. There is a 7/11 shop right behind the hotel. We had two connected rooms which was very convenient for us to be in touch with our children. The staff were nice and helpful.

At best a exorbinatly priced three star property.
There were several small problems with this room that a high cost suite should not have. - The toilet seat was loose (they fixed that the second day) - The tub faucet dripped and could not be fully turned off - In the evening the water never got more than warm for a shower - The wallpaper in the bathroom was pealing - There were no cups or glasses in the room - There was no ice bucket - There was no brochure of amenities in the hotel or near-by - The lighting was very low everywhere, including the desks - The USB power jack in the night stand was broken - There were a couple of stain spots on the couch. And we paid about $1,100 for 3 nights. We expected a nice suite with amenities and got at best an exorbitantly priced 3 star experience. On the plus side the staff was friendly.
