A perfect weekend getaway
The staff were so amazing this time around. We were promptly greeted by front desk staff. Ms Gutierrez kept us afloat of all the events happening that weekend and was a great host. We were continously made to feel like we were at home by Ronald and the rest of the pool and beach staff. I am so impressed with the staff and how they brought service here to the next level. We will be back. -J DiCarlo : ).

My Stay at the Construction Site
My family stayed at this hotel a few months ago and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, our experience this month was terrible. Initially, upon arrival, we saw the front entrance was closed for construction (pic 1). So we had to haul our baggage from the parking lot across the street to the makeshift check in lobby in the conference center. Upon check-in, we were then told that the infinity pool and the kids pool area are also closed (pic 2). This was incredibly disappointing to my kids who were expecting to be able to enjoy the play area. None of this was communicated to us prior to checking in. We then walked to our room through a makeshift corridor and observed the entire lobby was also under construction (pics 3, 4, 5). Upon arrival in our room, we noticed that it smelled like old feet. At this point, I called customer service and was placed on hold for 40 minutes and then told to go downstairs to wait in line for another 20 minutes. They refused to change our room and only gave us a minor credit. In the evening, we saw that our sheets had stains and hair on them (pics 6, 7). I called housekeeping and was told that they had no one working on housekeeping and I’d have to go down to the lobby myself to get clean sheets. Be This is not something that I expect from a hotel of this calibre. Finally, throughout the night, our toilet was randomly running and turning on keeping our family up all night. I knew no one in the hotel was available to do anything about it and had to open the back of the toilet myself and fix the flange valve myself. This is not something that I should be doing after spending this amount of money on a hotel. Needless to say our stay was incredibly disappointing. I do not recommend staying here when other options are nearby

Last time staying at this resort.
Rooms were just average that looked very dated. Pillows were a bit hard and lumpy. Beach was very nice but the they were short with staff to wait on you. The spa ran out of hot water prior to our service and was not told of it until after we completed our spa services. Spa did not want to give us credit. Would not recommend this hotel.

Cabana day stay was spectacular
We rented a cabana for the day here at the Diplomat, to bridge the hours of getting off a cruise and into an airbnb. Is the first time we did this and it’s the first time we stayed at a hilton. From the moment we set foot into the hotel we were treated like royalty! The staff is so kind and helpful, the cabana is of good standard and the pool vibes immaculate. I would say that the staff makes the experience truly spectacular. We are used to Disney treatment but I think Disney could learn from this Hilton hotel and experience. Special shoutout to Ronnie Owens, and Karen who made our day stay memorable

Construction Zone with No Kids Area
Under Construction! We picked this place for the huge pool and kid amenities, like the kid water play area. We arrive to find out that the hotel is under construction and the entire kid area is ripped up and a third of the pool area is also a construction zone. Would not have stayed here, especially given the prices, if we had known. Not at all family friendly.
