Good Value for the Money
We stayed for 10 nights and in the past year, stayed at 2 other resorts that were 5 star, and for the most part we were happy with our stay here, especially when you consider the value for money spent. Meals for the most part were good, beds were great, location is good, sun shone every day 29 degrees C; staff were very nice everywhere except the front desk....WOW... 2 or 3 of them should not be on a front desk....it's your first experience checking in and they are rude and abrupt.....we paid for partial ocean view--checked in on Friday--it was not available...told us to come back Saturday morning.....told again not available but through persistance my husband got us the room we paid for....there was 1 very hospitable guy at the front desk the first day and the second day, the Trip Advisor guy that works in the hotel was the one who actually managed to get us the room we had paid for. The 3rd building is less than 5 years old so it is lovely.....and we would ask to stay there again.....drinks were very inconsistent....some were reallly good but we couldn't find a bar in the place that made a decent lime margarita...and every one tasted different.....strawberry margs for the most part were good! Bar drinks were good....2 pools--both are great---we loved the 7th floor pool overlooking the sea but it was closed 4 of the 10 days we were there so we changed to the main pool which was lots of fun.....friends did the water aerobics.....a bunch of us played pool volleyball every day that we were there--so much fun---live band was there a few times and were really good.....snack shack at the pool was great for hot dogs, fries, nachos, etc.....each day, at the big pool, they also grilled tuna on the bbq or made paella or had the best shrimp served around 1:30. Great little snack shack....love that the hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport......all in all....for the value, we will stay there again.....8 out of 10

Underwhelming and Aged Resort - Disappointing
The resort was extremely disappointing. I’m not one to ever write reviews but feel I need to for this resort. Rooms were very dated, bathroom had black mold, a leaky toilet, squeaky shower and needed a renovation badly. We were promised a room upgrade and after packing all our bags back up, were told 3 hours later they were mistaken and no other rooms were in fact available. The buffet quality was extremely disappointing. The restaurants were better, but need to be sure to book reservations each morning at 9am pronto if you want a shot at a sit down reservation. The rooftop pool was very nice but unfortunately under renovation so we were only able to use on 2 out of 7 days during our stay. Overall, I am certain you can find better value and a more relaxing stay elsewhere.

Four stars a stretch
Food and service are ok. Noisy at night and very frustrating that the safe barely works and the entire key card reader had to be replaced. Crowded at pool, need CHAIRS, not just beds and loungers.

Nice Stay in PV
We enjoyed our stay at Crown Paradise Golden. Liked the location, shops and bars within walking distance. Nice beach. Smaller resort, so everything is close. Food is the buffet was hit or miss, but we usually ate in one of the ala carte restaurants, and I enjoyed every meal. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. We were in the Ocean Front building, so we enjoyed beautiful views, sunsets and whale watching.

Best Hotel in PV
This hotel stay was so fun. The staff are incredible. The bar staff in the lobby bar are super fun and top notch drinks. Fidel checked us in and gave us an upgrade without us even asking. We ended up getting a 1 bedroom ocean view suite. Carlos our Bellman. There is no one like him. He was so generous and kind. He booked everything for us. Dinners and even massages. There was nothing Carlos would not do for us. This is our 2nd time here and we already cannot wait to book for next March.
