Romantic Beach Vacation
This place is absolutely amazing. Beautiful property with lots of hidden nooks and crannies to explore, and it never felt crowded. Staff is friendly and gracious, rooms were clean and recently updated. Spa services are impeccable. I got the best hot stone massage of my life from Ruth in a pavilion on a cliff overlooking the water. Magical all around!

Your Welcome! and VERY much so!
We have just returned from Christmas & New Year LUXURY, at the CSS, and what a great time too, The Management & Staff pulled out all the stops over the period . ALL the Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, the food and drinks were GREAT, with a massive variety too, the GALA Nights incredible, especially the amount of work put into New Years Eve event, AMAZING!! The resort being fairly small, 150 rooms, means you get to meet lovely guests too, and get more involved with the happy staff. The choice of dining also means , you can eat on the beach or choose for more formal dining, whatever suits your mood, The Hotel is well established, and IMMACULATE, so too the massive lush surrounding park like area, complete with Lake to stroll around Watersports are FREE too, massive choice of Toys, PLUS Free boat trips, snorkelling and Scuba Dives too It is the little " extra touches" that makes this place, the STAFF, a Violin player at breakfast, strolling Sax Player at sunset and the general outstanding decor, sparkling clean glasses, cutlery, special square ceramic plates in the Asian restaurant, the place has been finely tuned over the years, We are regular Caribbean Christmas & New Year travellers, and assure you the Couples Sans Souci will be hard to beat! If your your looking for a QUALITY break in Jamaica, book without fear! A truly great place to visit! Thank you to all Management & Staff for our Great holiday! Steve & Sandy x

Amazing resort, with fantastic staff!
Amazing resort, with fantastic staff! Having been to the Caribbean previously, we tried Jamaica for the first time, and what a treat. Couples San Souci is an amazing resort, where the staff genuinely want to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious, immaculately cleaned with brilliant air conditioning! The resort itself is clean and tidy and the two Gala nights (Tuesday & Friday) are well worth being a part of. The Palazzina restaurant is a buffet, but with a menu option too, and very tasty food. We ate here most of the week, but did manage to book a table at the Casanova one evening, which served up great food also. It’s definitely worth trying to book a table before arriving as we struggled other than the one evening. Carol in the Palazzina restaurant for breakfast serves great omelettes whilst singing some of the classics, a great touch s the morning. We decided to sunbathe around the pool, with no issues getting sun beds. The pool bar created a good atmosphere and the daily quizzes from the entertainment team are great to take part in. A visit to the spa for a massage is well worth it, and worth booking in soon upon arrival as they tend to get booked up. Overall, a great relaxing holiday, would highly recommend.

Hated to Give This Only 3 Stars
This was our 4th trip to Sans Souci. We've also been to Couples Negril 4 times. We've been to Jamaica more than 25 times. We've always loved Couples. It's laid back, fewer rooms, and gives that Jamaican feel. I've never given Couples only 3 stars but this time I'm afraid I have to. We arrived on a Friday early afternoon and, using Club Mobay, got through immigration and customs pretty fast. Checked in at the airport lounge and we were told it would be about 30 minutes for the van. OK. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get to Sans Souci. I don't blame couples for that, it's pre-Christmas traffic and bad roads. So we get to the resort and sit down with our champagne to check in. The receptionist was nice and friendly. We confirmed our dining reservations and we were taken to our room. We always get beachfront suite 1st floor in the B block and that's what we were given. The room was as we expected and looked clean. We unpacked all of our stuff and went to the bar for a drink. Bartender was friendly and made very good drinks. Then we dressed for the Friday night gala. Personally, I hate the fact that they have 2 of these "buffet" dinners on the lawn. We are there 7 nights and 2 are taken up with this. Yes, I know I can get room service. Also, I am hearing impaired and you are forced to sit with strangers at tables for 6. Some are very nice, others get frustrated because I can't understand what they are saying in that setting. So, basically, I sit there and smile. The food at this and the Tuesday night Jamaican buffet is OK. Some are good, some are things I didn't want to try. Negril only has one of these buffet nights and they do it better. We ate at all of the restaurants and found, for the most part, the food was OK. Casanaova was disappointing. Good starters and salad but the main course was dry and tasteless. Bella Vista Asian was very good. We enjoyed it. Palazzina was just OK. The salad bar was disappointing. The best meals we had were breakfast with the singing omelet lady and lunch at the Beach Grille. Great burgers and fish tacos. Now, back to the room. The lighting is horrible. The room is always dark. there is no overhead lighting. I hate the stone shower. The 1st night we had no cold water. The water was scalding hot. They came the next day and fixed it but we never had anything resembling cold water. The bed was fine but the pillows were foam and hard and just bad. The room seemed clean but really needs a thorough steam cleaning. Out of our 7 nights, the room was made up only once before 12. Most times I would come back to the room for something around 2 and the room still had not been made up. Now for worst part. On our day here, I stepped on something very sharp in the water by the far ropes. Incredibly painful. I hobbled to my chair hoping the pain would go away. It got worse. I made it to my room to wash it off. Pain was getting worse. by this time I could barely walk. Got halfway to my husband on the beach and yelled at him to come get me. By this time an employee came over to see what the problem was. Bless him! He said to go to the nurse and he would contact her. We went back to the room and my husband brought a wheelchair. The pain was excruciating. The nurse finally comes in and takes a look. She said she really couldn't see anything. My husband looks and finds 3 small puncture marks. She used the flashlight from her phone and sees them and says that she couldn't see any spikes or anything sticking out. She soaks my foot in vinegar and hot water. Meanwhile, I have tears coming down because the pain is so bad. She asked if I want to see the doctor for a charge of $250. Since the pain was not going away I said yes. She had to look up his number. Then we were told that he's in Kingston and it would be at least 2 hours before he gets here. I said no. She said it would be $350 if I needed the doctor tomorrow because I refused to see him today. I was helped back to my room and rested my foot. From the time I was stung to the time the pain started to subside was about 5 hours. I am writing this at home 10 days later and my foot is still sore. Urgent Care here yesterday said it could take many weeks before it's OK. I'm upset that the nurse really didn't know what to do and seemed like she really didn't care. So, would I come back to Sans Souci? Definitely. There's a lot to love. Oh, I had a fantastic massage and facial from Jacqueline at the spa. She is a gem! I know the cliffside rooms have been updated and I wish they would do the same for the beachfront.

Perfect day at Couples Sans Souci
We visited Couples Sans Souci for the day as part of the Trading Places program with sister resort Couples Tower Isle. We had a fantastic day exploring Sans Souci and enjoying its amenities. Couples Sans Souci is an incredibly scenic and lush resort and completely different than it's hotel-style sister Tower Isle. It is built into a hillside, so note there are a ton of stairs. You will get a work out in walking the resort. The resort's grounds are sprawling and completely magical to stroll through. There are so many beautiful spots for photo ops such as the jungle paths, the mineral pool grotto, and the waterfall. The au naturel beach is massive and a completely different experience than the small nude island at Couples Tower Isle. You'll find a more social crowd at Sans Souci's nude beach, as well as a huge pool, bar, dining spot, and a massive beach area to enjoy. The crowd is older overall but more mixed in age than we saw at Tower Isle. During our visit, we were able not only enjoy the grounds, but have lunch beachside at the Beach Grill, which was very good. Note that when you arrive for the Trading Places experience, you will have a mandatory guided tour of the resort from a staff member, which will take you from the top of the hill down to the very far end of the resort at the nude beach. The information about the resort was definitely helpful, but we would have preferred to explore on our own. We wanted to start our day at a different part of the resort so had to double back and climb all those stairs again when the tour ended. Whether you are staying at the resort or visiting for the day, we definitely recommend Couples Sans Souci. Make sure you register for the free Romance Rewards program in advance so you can book the Trading Places experience. Being able to swap resorts for the day is definitely a great perk!
