  WOW - all around exceeded

  Stayed for 5 days and each day our experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel/resort is beautiful, well cared for, friendly staff, delicious food and large suites with water and sunshine views galore. Each day I noticed a detail of care, upkeep, cleaning, fresh fruit infused water/towels at the pool, etc. From the front desk, bellman, bar staff, wait staff, housekeeping, pool staff - lots of hustle and smiles every day. Some staff who made our day: Ruth, Rick, Jason, Michelle, Cassandra and Jennifer from guest relations who made us feel so special for our milestone birthday celebrations. There’s so much to do, or just relax - we ventured out on bike rides, kayak ride, enjoyed the fire pits at night and plenty of pool time. And the FREE Jolly Trolley is an added benefit, didn’t need to move the car to explore the area. We enjoyed food and drink from every onsite area/restaurant and it was very good and reasonably priced. We’ve been to many Marriotts up and down the east/west coast - this one is my new #1.

  Marriott Suites on Sand Key

  We returned this afternoon from our vacation. This hotel is an absolute gem and an experience not to be missed! We had an incredible time and can’t wait to return. The property boasts breathtaking views of the backwaters and is impeccably maintained. Everything about our stay was outstanding—from the seamless buggy rides to the beach, thrilling activities like kayaking and jet skiing, to the delectable food and the serene atmosphere within the hotel. Every aspect was thoughtfully curated to provide an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

  A Perfect Spring Break

  My husband spent 6 perfect nights at this Marriott. The hotel is pristine and all of the staff (housekeeping, valet, front desk, pool bar) is friendly and helpful. We spent 3 days at the pool which had lovely loungers. And tons of towels. (We didn’t need to bring them from the room or keep track of one-per-customer issued at the towel stand.) the pool drinks were expensive but delicious. Brennan made me a true lime daiquiri; delish! We enjoyed the hummus plate poolside. We went to the beach 2 days. The beach taxi made it very easy. Although it was only a 10 minute walk and we preferred that. Our stay included beach chairs and an umbrella. (Don’t forget to tip your beach attendant.) The Tampa Zoo was an hour drive away, but worth it. We will be back next spring.

  Simply Perfect beach location

  This is by far, is my favorite hotel in the Clearwater area and one I recommend to any friends traveling to the area. It is the perfect location, close enough to drive to John's Pass, Treasure Island, Pass a grille and Honeymoon island but also just a short, free trolley ride to enjoy Clearwater beach. The renovated rooms are lovely, nice peaceful colors and clean and bright. The pool area restrooms also had a nice revamp. I stay here each time we visit and it just doesn't disappoint. Breakfast buffet is good, pool bar has great food and drinks too. Pool is just simply spectacular, lots of lounge chairs, with some overlooking the bay. Quick walk to Sand Key beach which is across the street or you can have the hotel take you there on the free beach shuttle (golf cart). Parking fee is kind of ridiculous since it is just an open lot. Daily resort fee included some perks like beach chairs but the weather during our stay was super windy so we opted for the pool instead. Hope to be able to take advantage of that next trip! Only negative was that pool area is not monitored for non guests, hotel needs to do a better job of this. I mentioned an incident at check out and the front desk clerk showed me a blue bracelet, we were never given one, and didn't see anyone wearing one, so not sure how effective it is. A simple gate at the jet ski entrance that required a hotel key card would be a good step in the right direction. Higher rooms have better views, either the pool or bay view is pretty. I find the bay view rooms, if near the outdoor AC unit can be loud, so I prefer the pool view. Next door is the Columbia house restaurant and a small strip mall with some other dining and shopping options. Looking forward to returning!

  A home from home experience!

  We have visited this hotel many times over the years, and every trip leaves us wanting to return. The stunning sea views from your balcony are a picture and we have even seen dolphins while taking in the views. From the moment we arrive, we’re always made to feel so welcome by the staff, who go above and beyond. A special mention to Mikel Lopes the lead concierge who is always in the lobby with a warm smile, ready to offer helpful tips on the best places to visit both in the local area and within the hotel itself. His attentiveness and genuine care for the guest experience make such a difference, and he truly goes the extra mile to make every stay for us unforgettable. Another standout member of the team is Mike Martino, who ensures that the food and beverages at the hotel are always of the highest standard. The service from him and his team makes you feel right at home, with fantastic recommendations on the best refreshments and food the hotel has to offer. The Watercolour Restaurant is a must-visit for both breakfast and dinner, offering fabulous sea views as you dine. The seafood and cocktails in the evening are always my go-to! You also can’t miss the cocktails by the pool either, it’s the perfect pairing as you relax in the sun. We are looking for forward to booking our next stay here.
