Apr 21, 2023Wonderful hotel for your Universal Vacation
This is a wonderful hotel. The place is so clean and distance to the Universal Parks are great. You can easily walk to the parks if you don’t want to wait for the bus transportation. We have stayed at this hotel every year for the past 4yrs for our Universal Orlando vacations. We have gotten the one bedroom suites and have loved it. The beds are wonderful and the air conditioning can get extremely cold if you like that. Housekeeping and the front desk are great at their jobs and are really helpful. My only criticism would be the lighting is really dim in the rooms so would recommend you bring your own higher watt light bulbs if you can.

Old and ready to tear down . There is Nothing at this hotel that remotely earns it even a 1 *. The reviews have to be fakes!! From the entry and appearance of the receptionist the hotel is disappointing 😞 how does TripAdvisor rate this hotel so high ?

Mar 04, 2023Rooms nice but odd layout and motel vibe
We stayed here one night after getting in late before starting our vacation elsewhere. The rooms are nice and seem recently renovated. However, they have an odd layout that is bad for families. The bathroom door only gives privacy to the person showering or using the toilet. The sink and mirror is in the common area with the beds, so there is nowhere to change. We didn’t have a chance to use the facilities, but the exterior and common areas are more run down and have the feel of a roadside motel versus a hotel. There are plenty of other options in the area that are newer and have interior corridors and next time we would stay at one of those. Also, the lobby has a very strange smell throughput, which seems to be the combination of the fumes from the restaurant in the hotel, and some sort of deodorizer. I will add that this hotel does not offer free breakfast like many of the surrounding hotels do, which takes away from its value.

Feb 27, 2023I don't recommend it but if you can put up with some things, it's relatively cheap and close to universal park.
The closet door where the refrigerator was, was damaged, I reported it and they went to repair it but the gentleman said it was beyond repair and it stayed that way. The bathroom shower was broken and the water came out on the left and wet the entire bathroom floor, I also reported it and they never went to check it, there was also a grate that had fallen that if they went to repair it. We stayed 5 nights and they never went to clean the room even though I asked them to, I also asked them to change the towels daily and they didn't do it. The last night the air conditioner was damaged, they sent someone to check it and they only said that it was damaged and that they were going to report it to the front desk but they didn't offer us another room or anything, we slept in the heat and left the hotel. Positive I could say was the free shuttle to Universal studio.

Lifesavers in Orlando
If you're planning a trip to Orlando, Florida, and looking for a cozy and comfortable stay, look no further than The Clarion Inn and Suites. This hidden gem is nestled in the heart of Orlando, just minutes from all the major attractions. I first met John at the front desk, and he was extremely nice and helpful and made my check-in easy breezy. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and equipped with just enough amenities. From plush bedding to furnishings, the decor was modern but comfortable. It’s close to the freeway but surprisingly quiet once you’re in your room. I drove quite a bit during my trip, so close proximity to the freeway was incredibly beneficial. Also, it’s located next to convenient stores and restaurants, like Walgreens and FRIDAY’S. Without a doubt, it’s the staff that really elevated my experience. I mistakenly left my backpack in the parking lot during the frenzy to get to the airport at the crack of dawn. The security guard found it and returned it to the front desk. Once I realized it was missing, I immediately panicked since my laptop, and other valuables were in there. The Assistant Manager on duty, Amina calmed me down and arranged to ship it back to me. It was returned the next day, just like I left it (see photo). There are not many hotels that would go out of their way to do this. That alone gets them five stars in my book. I will certainly be back soon. Thank you, Clarion Inn and Suites Team!
