Nov 08, 2025Beautiful place with beautiful people
Stayed a week at the Catalonia Tulum. The resort is smaller and very unique, being situated in the middle of mangroves and trees. It’s just a really nice place to escape your life stressors. The staff are the highlights. Queztabel and Angeles and Susette greeted us warmly every morning at the buffet. They are special people! All the servers were amazing especially Monica and Virginia at the beach. They were really nice to talk to everyday. Jonathon was a great bartender at the poolside bar-few good laughs with him!!! The beach was clean stunning. Walked both directions everyday. Swam in the warm ocean for hours. The al a Cartes were good with some choices better than others as to be expected at an all inclusive. The dinner show was amazing!!!! Next trip we will book it twice for sure. The room was clean and cool but very musty. Got used to it though. Brought damp rid but it really didn’t help much. The only downside to this resort were all the smokers. They were everywhere unfortunately with no staff enforcing smoking restrictions. All other Mexican resorts I’ve been to in the past few years have a strict no smoking policy with designated smoking areas. It’s too bad. We will return here as the pros were more plentiful than the few irritations!

Another Wonderful Trip!
We had an amazing second visit at CRT! We love the small, quaint feel of the resort but what truly makes this place is the staff. Everyone we encountered was absolutely lovely! Special recognition to the entire animation team- Abraham, Diego, Eddie, Paulina, and Tita for making our days around the pool so fun. Each day they would stop and check in with us and spend time getting to know us. We did not have 1 bad meal then entire trip. All of the servers were friendly and accommodating to our group. We especially enjoyed Julio, Erick, and David at Mama Mia, Quetzebel from the Palapa, and Alia at B’loved. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful hotel with beautiful beach and lovely staff
Where should I start… We‘ve been here the 4th time and for sure will come back again. The hotel itself is nice and beautiful with all the green areas. The beach is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. Just stunning. 🌴 At the breakfast and lunch restaurant (la Palapa) Quetzabel, Angeles, Reyna and Sussette are doing a fantastic job. On the beach Virginia is taking care that you stay hydrated. They‘re just lovely! ❤️ The entertainment team (Diego, Tita, Paulina, Eddie and Abraham) are super cool and friendly, open and help you with everything. 🥰🥳 they are doing a great job in letting you know about all the activities going on during the day and keep you updated. The different restaurants in the evening are really nice. You can chose between a Mexican, Italian, Steakhouse or Asian. All of them are delicious. As we come back again and again we can really recommed thia hotel. If you want to have a relaxing and beautiful stay in Mexico. 🇲🇽

Amazing time with friends!
Rooms clean and comfortable. Restaurants offered lots of variety. My favourite was the dinner and show...phenomenal acrobatics. Pool was lovely and clean. The beach was beautiful, white sand, clear water. Lots to see with snorkels!

this is a tough review to write, the resort itself is great. Older property but well maintained, great setting with a beautiful beach. The dining options are good but limited. There are some great staff members here, where it all falls apart is in the pervasive smoker friendly environment at the resort, there is nowhere on the property you can go that people are not smoking or vaping. Not at the pool, not in the buildings where your room will be, not on the beach or any of the outdoor restaurants. We even had people openly vaping in the lobby during our stay. Despite multiple requests to the staff nothing was done. A special shout-out here to Alex, one of the Exclusive sales sharks by the small pool. After approaching Alex about an especially energetic group of pool smokers he assured us he would address any issues he saw...flash forward 10 minutes, went back to Alex who then informed us it was not his job to do anything about this...Employee of the month!! "no es mi trabajo" should be a new company slogan.
