Not happy with my birthday vacation. Experience with not pleasant. The sea weed smell is very strong got sick first day.
Sea weed was very bad no beach was able to go in water. Smell was horrible in room. Made me suck first first. Fire alarm went off every day of our stay. Hallways were loud at night with talking and dropping dishes. Not relaxing.

Excellent Service Throughout
The staff at Breathless was very friendly, and met all of our needs. I felt like I was with old friends I've known a long time. Their service was impeccable, and all of the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this to a friend or colleague.

Bad beaches and bully mosquitoes
Let me say this….the staff was very nice and happy. Reminded me of being in Aruba as you did not come pass any staff that was rude or wasn’t smiling. However….. unsure what happened to the beaches but it was filled with dead fish and seaweed. There were beachcombers out there to try to capture as many fish as possible but it was not impossible to do so. The food is very mediocre, the best dining we had was the 24 hour room service. The Mexican restaurant onsite was an embarrassment to the culture and there were a few of us who walked out (sitting at different tables unbeknown that we were all thinking the same). They did have a beach dinner with a DJ and that food was great. If you want premium liquor you must upgrade to the Xhale Club, otherwise your margarita will be made with “ well” liquor ( in which we took a tour of tequila tasting and was advised “well” tequila is the best for margaritas). Please bring some very strong mosquito repellent. I did bring some and yet they bit right through it. We are still scratching and we’ve been back home for four days, it was awful (which the hotel has nothing to do with that but perhaps some spray can be performed every so often). Lastly, do not expect a jaw dropping lobby area, it was very quite and you didn’t realize it was the lobby. There were construction being done, therefore they may be giving a new lobby wheee you can sit and just chill. Overall with the name of Breathless, you would expect to be swept off your feet with the presentation and or the amenities. I will not return yet I know everyone sees thing differently through their own lenses.

Awesome Resort!
Pillows and bed were sooo comfortable! The entertainment was awesome! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our favorite was the twist pool bar, Ciro and the 2 Alejandros were the best bartenders!!! They always remembered you!
