Lots of pros & cons
Planned by best friend's bachelorette party here. To start with the positives --- 1. The hotel is brand new and beautiful 2. Rooms are spacious and clean 3. The restaurants are vibey with tons of good food options (even for vegan/gf) including a 24 hour cafe 4. The onsite pools, bars, and club were all really good time The main issue/challenge we faced was the service across the board. With the exception of the fine dining waiters and the pool staff, the rest of the staff was NOT GOOD. I felt like I was arguing with them all weekend and trying to shield the rest of my party from the various issues and errors. A few examples: - We were promised adjoining rooms only to be told those did not exist upon our arrival but they were going to give us rooms close together. We then ended up with rooms floors 16 and 22 and there was "nothing they could do about it" - We booked rides to various activities outside the resort and the staff was so uninterested with helping us arrange a ride back to the hotel every time. This became stressful every time we left the property. - Everything took FOREVER including room service orders, the check-in/check-out process, drink orders, etc. - Our remote in the room broke and the TV was stuck on at 1am, I called multiple times for help and no one ever showed up. - Staff at the "Spoons" buffet was rude and condescending. We wanted to take vegan food options up to the room or pool to be with the rest of our group (pool & room dining did not have any vegan options) and were told we couldn't for our own health? They were just making excuses up on the spot it was very odd I have traveled a lot and this is just not the level and quality of service that should come with the price tag of this resort.

Terrible Stay - SCAMMED by Concierge and Horrible Room Service
Went to breathless this past weekend with 4 friends for a bachelor party. Room service - worst room service ever. takes over 1 hour to get coffee in the morning, and food is just below average. Literally tried everything on the room service menu and NOTHING was even remotely worth eating again. Concierge / booking excursions - we were downright SCAMMED by the concierge here. We booked a Jungle Tour for 5 people, but I let the concierge person know that there was a potential storm tomorrow. She assured us we would be able to get a refund if the storm did not settle. On the day of the tour, Hurricane Hilary hits Cancun the hardest, and we were still shuttled out for the tour. Our group felt it was not safe to ride speed boats in the jungle, during a HURRICANE. We decided we did not want to go, returned to the hotel, and asked for a refund. The reservation guy there was extremely rude at that point, telling me "thats too bad." I told him it was NOT SAFE to go on this ride, and he refused to give me a refund. I went back and forth with other people at the booking area, and left FED UP. End of story: we paid $350 for a boat tour that we NEVER went on due to UNSAFE CONDITIONS. The hotel decided to scam us and not provide a refund. Avoid this resort AT ALL COST. There are so many better ones you can book, and some even cost less. Do not go to Breathless and expect to be treated like a guest. From the moment you step into this hotel, its penny pinching for every last dollar or peso you have. Just a downright terrible experience from BREATHLESS SOUL.

DO NOT listen to these positive reviews - this place is a joke.
Came here for a 4 day bachelor party…this resort was undoubtedly the worst resort experience of our lives. This is not an exaggeration, nearly every meal or drink we had was a disappointment. The room service takes 1.5 hours to arrive and is lower quality than a 7/11. All the “fine dining” restaurants open after 6pm and are mexican food dressed up as “french” or “japanese”. The cocktails are all watered down and nearly undrinkable with all the syrub and mix they add. Place also smells like a public bathroom everywhere you go because they use the same cleaning solution for the lobbies and hallways. The only highlight is the beds are top notch - slept like a baby…but i didnt come to cancun to lay in bed all day. Please do whatever it takes to avoid.

Best Resort I’ve been to!
Amazing experience. Resort was clean, food was excellent (the Mexican restaurant and the breakfast buffet in particular). The tacos were amazing. Staff was also amazing. Arturo the pool manager was particularly friendly and helpful and made our stay even better. The nightly events were also fun and were themed each night. This is by far the best resort I’ve been to in Cancun and will definitely be back here next time!
