    Disappointed

Sub par food. Cheap liquor. Too many time share salespeople Not worth the money Was hoping for a high end experience but sadly disappointed. The food was not even as good as basic nation chain food. The beef was chewy, burgers dense and difficult to eat.

Resort is not worth the money

The resort was very clean and the staff was wonderful! The rooms were kept clean. We had an ocean front view room that view was gorgeous. The room.. Our refrigerator didn't work, and they brought one to replace it and still didn't work to keep things cold. So the mini bar was not used. We did drink the room temperature bottled water. The shower leaked but dealt with that because each didn't want to smell caulk. The water has an odor. I have been to several resorts in Mexico and have never had to deal with this smell. The food was not the best. We did eat at the Italian restaurant twice and it was good both times. The steakhouse was ok. Three of us got the filet, and it was very tough and not seasoned. We ate breakfast at the buffet and was pretty decent. The best was the pizza out by the pool! The guys enjoyed the Mexican pizza, and my friend and I enjoyed the pepperoni. The juices had an aftertaste. I have been to several resorts and have always enjoyed the different juices. They were not good here. I am typically a cranberry and vodka drinker. The drinks were very weak. The guys drank Coors from a can because neither liked the beer out of tap. You have to get up early and mark your chairs so you have someplace to hang out. We didn't hang at the rooftop pool. We sat on the couch up there and was told it was 1,000 to sit there!! The cabana are a charge, they call it bottle service. So we stayed on the beach mostly. They have the ropes in the gulf to show where you can get in but the water is only ankle deep. If you go out past the ropes, the life guard blows his whitle. This was the first time we stayed at a Breathless, and I can say we most likely will not stay at another one. We couldn't wait to come home.

    Staff really cares

Overall this is my second all inclusive and by far the best. Food selection is diverse and quality is excellent. Occasional items at the buffet were only okay but generally everything is edible and worth trying. At the restaurants, everything we tried was pretty good but Fish Nets was by far our favourite experience. Cristian was our server for 4 nights out of our week stay. After the first night with him as our server, we requested to be sat in his section every other night, as his service and recommendations were excellent. Rooms were spotless when we requested they be cleaned whilst navigating through our mess of items scattered in our room. The most enjoyable part for me was the activities and the staff who were running them. Andrea did a wonderful job of getting people to move their bodies and bringing them out of their shell to dance and enjoy themselves. David was amazing and truly made everyone he interacted with feel like he cared about them. The volleyball games he ran were fun for everyone yet still competitive which was so fun. I wish David, Andrea, & Cristian all the best and am grateful to all of the staff who made our stay truly memorable, fun and relaxing.

    Great time with my Dog

The hotel and rooms are very nice, the resort is boutique-ish…. The pool areas had an OK vibe wise, but nothing special. The staff was excellent, and the food was OK. The buffet was probably the best out of all. The specialty restaurants were OK if that, I enjoyed the fish restaurant the most. The resort was very dog friendly and my dog was allowed everywhere except the pool. Having my dog in Cancun was a great experience in itself. The beach was awful and a public access point, so you have random people an children using the beach area. The water was very shallow and wasn’t swimmable, It was a huge disappointment. If you are looking for that beautiful Cancún water, this is not the place for you. The resort was open till about 3am but it wasn’t that party vibe as advertised, lowkey at best.

    Not sure we'll go back.

Not sure we'll go back. Mostly because of lack of things to do and the cost of everything extra. I will say, the building itself is very nice and very clean. The staff are very friendly. We met several nice people and everyone was having a good time. Be aware places have dress codes. Wasn't expecting that at an all-inclusive resort. The cost of the all-inclusive side was reasonable. The upgraded room (ocean view) was very nice which also gave us access to VIP amenities. The VIP bar has premium liquor but is the only VIP bar so it is always busy. The food there is good too. The rooftop VIP infinity pool is very nice. Hours are awful. Only open until 4PM. Restaurants are decent. Croquette was not open for our entire stay and Spumante took 2 hours to get a table. Silk was decent. Most in our group had pad Thai that was very good and sweet and sour pork was ok. Not what I'm used to. Fish nets was above average. I didn't like every restaurant trying to upcharge on bottles of wine and sake. The buffet options are Spoon are very good for breakfast and lunch. I'd encourage them to be open for dinner to help offset the crowds for restaurants. The pizza by main pool is a great way to grab a good snack. Burgers at the roof top bar were a great mid-afternoon treat after a few drinks. Additionally, there isn't much to do on-site. Amstar reps try to pitch you every time you walk by for excursions. The spa is way over priced compared to the US and avoid the hydrotherapy. At least the outside portion. It was 30 mph wind and cold. Not worth it. Hot tub needs repaired ASAP before someone gets hurt.
