We enjoyed our stay.
ATMOSPHERE - Layed back and relaxed. ROOMS - Dated, but clean. Stayed in Building 3 Sea View Room. Could get a little loud as the guests in the swim up suites tend to party later into the evening and their voices and music carry to the upper rooms. HOUSEKEEPING - Housekeeping staff OUTSTANDING. Never got names as they were in and out while we were gone. STAFF STANDOUTS - Marlenny Sanchez at the Bar Bohio. She is a waitress at the pool and never wrote down your order. She would take upwards of 12 orders and ALWAYS got them correct. Belki was a waitress at Caribe. This is another lady on top of her game. After day 2 she saw us and knew how we wanted our coffee. Junior and Luis from Entertainment are both high energy and very good at engaging with the guests. Angel at the Main Lobby bar, was always welcoming and could make a delicious cappuccino or a mean passion fruit martini. The ladies at the Coffee, Rum and Cigar Bar were also very friendly. The Cubano was our favorite. Staff in general always greeted us. SPA - We both had massages while there. The U-Spa and the Bamboo. The lady I had on November 2, she had phenomenal hand strength and by the time she was done I was jello. We liked that we could use the water spa prior to the massage. GROUNDS - We love to walk and explore, so the size of the property was very walk-able. 2 miles to the main gate. Roughly 2.5 miles to walk the "loop" which was from Building 5 to the family side along the beach and then out to the golf course past the tennis/pickle ball courts and back to Building 5. There is a walking path along side the Conference Center, but it appeared to have been poorly maintained and over grown. Groundskeepers work extremely hard keeping up the beach area. While we were there they were already working on Christmas lights. FOOD - We found the food plentiful and flavorful. We were there 22 nights and did do most of the Ala Cartes. Reservations upon arrival were easy. We booked a couple each week we were there. Caribe (Buffet on the Adult Only side) was always clean and there was not a shortage of choices. Plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, bread options (some gluten free choices as well), choices of chicken, beef, pork and fish. Caribe would also have a different theme for dinner each night (Spanish, Dominican, Americana, Italian, etc) and highlight choices from each area. LaBrisa was our favorite for dinner and for late lunch if we did not book an Ala Carte. The baked chicken and mango mash was our favorite. The only disappointment was at LaFuentes when we ordered the grilled cheese hot appetizer... it was not hot and served on a cold plate.

Definitely not the newest, but the very best value!
We know this hotel since we spent our honeymoon in 1998 here. We spend our holidays here, every year, except for the two years due to Covid. It is a resort with superb white sand beaches, beautiful gardens, a huge lagoon with crystal clear water. The staff is friendly (few exceptions), helpful and always sporting a smile. Sandy, the director, is efficient and quiet. But she does get things done and pronto! There are many reasons why, but one of the main driver for our coming back every year is the price/value. You cannot beat that.

Great Vacation & golfing
We had a great week and got lucky with the weather. We have to go to the Palace for the restaurants - golf course is nice and challenging but needs at bit of work because of the rain of the previous week. Overall we had a great stay at this resort - food at the restaurant is acceptable but not extra-ordinary..

We have been here 5 times over the last 10 years and have absolutely loved it every time. Very clean and friendly environment. Love that it is Adults Only. The train makes it so easy to get around in the resort. 5 star and so affordable. You can't go anywhere else for the money that's this nice
