Amazing time at Bahia Principe. Would definitely recommend!
Fernando from entertainment staff is very friendly along with the other staff here. Would definitely come back here! The food was very good and drinks are good as well! I met some very friendly bartenders and the entertainment was awesome to watch at night

Not what it used to be
This would be our 4th trip to this resort but also probably our last. Over the years we stayed at Akumal and Coba and what we love about this resort was that it was big and had a lot of variety. Beaches are not great unfortunately but vast selection of pools and activities made up for it. We enjoyed ability to explore and use other bars, buffets and beach areas. This trip something is different and you are no longer able to get service outside of the resort you are staying at. There is too many restrictions on which part of beach is for who etc. We were not able to get drinks or eat in other parts of the resort which is a deal breaker. Time to find another places to stay

All around great vacation
We stayed as privilege guests and couldn’t be happier with our stay. A la Cartes we’re wonderful… highly recommend Maiko, los Coralles, alux and Dolce Vita! Privilege carts were always available and arrived in a timely fashion. I also highly recommend the silent disco party, it was an absolute blast! Food and beverages are plentiful as always and the serving staff are so friendly! I highly recommend making friends with Jose and Edgar at the Akumal buffet… they are very attentive to all your needs! Luis, our concierge was so pleasant and helpful! Just a great experience at our home away from home! Hasta pronto!!!

10 days in Paradise
My family just returned from 10 nights. January 14 to the 24th. I'll begin firstly by not calling out staff members that approached us to make sure to mention them in a review so they can get some kind of benefit. This is a travel review not a employee shout out...management please just walk around and observe your staff and see the great work they do and reward them :) I did a lot of research and read lots of reviews and watched alot of YouTube videos so I can get a good idea of what to expect. Coba is their entry level property in a complex that has 3 other properties. So pay attention to where you want to book and what's important to you. We loved the resort and had everything we need and want for a resort. Rooms yes are dated and are showing their age and really hope a refresh is coming for these rooms. They are all the same. Either king bed or 2 doubles with a daybed setup. Each villa has 3 floors and no elevator. We don't spend a lot of time in the rooms and they are comfortable and AC worked well. Fridge was restocked every day and maid service was done well. App came in handy to request towels for the few times they forgot our room was for 3 people and not 2. Our reservation included 5 dinner reservations. The app was also handy to book our reservations in advance. You must add Don Pablo to your list. Skip the Mexican as its just a buffet service and no menue and has similar dishes in the main buffet. But the atmosphere was super fun. Had I known it was just a buffet i would have picked something else. We enjoyed the Brazilian twice, and the Mediterranean. You can try to walk in and try another place but you may have to come back at another time but for us the alternative times were too late. The buffet is ok. Yes there is a lot of repetitive dishes but there really is a big selection to choose from so finding something you like shouldn't be a problem. Service is a bit slow at the busy times and you will figure that out quickly lol no sleeping in for us We don't drink so I can't speak to the drink quality but always got tasty moctails and blended drinks. Evening entertainment was super fun. Got to catch the silent Disco and the urban show. The rock show was great and the magic and circus shows are great for the kiddos. They also have live music on the outdoor theater just outside the lobby that was great to see. Now the beach is the biggest thing you need to pay attention to. If you are a beach person this may not be the place for you. You have a 5 to 10 minute walk or a trolly ride to get to the beach as this resort is not beach front. The trolly comes often enough but again it fluctuates based on traffic and if you can't get a seat on the first one the driver's are great at calling for another trolly. The walk is not bad at all. You do need water shoes as the entire sea floor is rocky. Some areas are ok but it's pretty bad. The section of the beach for coba guests is small and seems cramped. There is a bar to get your drinks but no food service. There is an option to upgrade so you have more access you can find this out on resort or see this information on Facebook and other posts. We didn't feel the need to upgrade. Overall we had a great time the pools are great and the activities at the main pool are super fun. The entertainment staff are all fun and keep everyone energized. Would we return again.....possibly but it is worth checking out but do your homework if you do have expectations on your travel experiences.

Trip to Canada spend more elsewhere get way better
DONT WASTE VACATION HERE OR AT ANY OF THE OTHER RESORTS HERE TOTAL OF 5 COMBINED INTO ONE. Got a burrito yesterday roast beef today it was made scrap hamburger and scrap hotdogs at what is called food truck restaurant. DRINKS all watered down bartender at coba pool great. BUFFET at coba poor tulum ok much better we know you get what you pay for but this is our 2nd. Stay here it seems our old tulum beachfront room is now some premier room not even shown on beachbound so we're by pool . CHECKING in they wanted 590 us to get closer to the beach because if you book coba you get this 12 ft. Strip of beach that they bus you too complete with underwater rocks in the surf....really bad now compared to previous trip. More to follow but this place now compared to 3 years ago got bad. TAKE PALACE AND RIU OR BARCELLO THEY let you use other resorts amenities during your stay here its no no no go back to your area even with them all connected .
