    Perfect vacation

    Aquamarine was above our expectations. We loved it there Jericotamarez, the bartender in the lobby, was awesome, very friendly. All staff overall were awesome as well . The property was beautiful. Edwin one of the managers even came over to introduce his self & said if we need anything let him know

    Standards have dropped!

    Currently here in room 81203 with 4 days of a 14 day stay to go. Our 10th visit here I think, but it’s not what it used to be. And we think this may well be our last. Standards have dropped…. Like this year, last year and the year before we have never ending issues with with the colour of wristbands we are given on arrival. As part of the “Loyalty” programme we reached “Gold Level” this year and along with the Yellow wristband for Aquamarine we were also given a Gold wristband. This is apparently to let the staff know you’re a returning and loyal guest along with certain benefits you can enjoy. We were told we can use any of the restaurants across all the hotels apart from Fantasia Hotel. Well, after 2 days of lunching at Las Brisas on the beach my wife noticed a bit of whispering going on with a waitress and waiter. He then came over and said to my wife, “you can finish your meal but you can’t eat in here again”. This was followed up by a manager coming over and telling us the same thing. Embarrassing or what? When I returned from the buffet I told them that we ate in here last year and the previous year when we only had Silver level on their loyalty programme. The rules have changed, came the response. And that’s the thing, the rules are always changing here! Years ago we actually had Gold band privileges! If management come up with new policies they should only apply from the day they are implemented and shouldn’t apply to repeat guests who have enjoyed certain loyalty benefits in the past. Management don’t show any interest in their guests here, they hide away in their offices and send someone else do deal with any issues. They’re not interested. Fortunately, Gilberto in Aquamarine reception dealt with the situation to our satisfaction. Again, earlier this evening, we went to Las Brisas only to be told by a waiter we couldn’t eat there and had to go to Aquamarine restaurants only. That was until another waiter pointed out to him that we were in fact allowed in, as we had been since day 3! Again, embarrassing. The quality of the food and service has also been an issue and we’ve heard several people talking about it. Another review will follow regarding the restaurants, quality of food, service and staff once I’ve reviewed them on the hotels own website.

    POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BAHIA PRICIPE GRAND AQUAMARINE PUNTA CANA

    Honest review Third time at this resort. Sept 7 - 21 There was no aircon in the room. Complained 3 times to customer service. Was told that someone would check the room that night No one did. Complained the next morning again The customer service lady rep rolled her eyes and looked away as i told her the problem. Next day complained again. I was offered another room. Upon inspection there was no aircon again. The rep told me that the aircon works in some rooms only. I asked to be moved to any room as long as there is aircon. The rep then admitted that the aircon is not working in the entire building I was told that if i wanted an aircon room that i would have to transfer to another resort on the complex and pay more money. HUH? I refused and stated that i had already paid a lot of money for a room that was advertised as including aircon. I feel that the hotel staff were well aware that that aircon was not working and couldn't be bothered to be honest about it when asked. This was low season. The resorts in the complex were not full. I felt very insulted by the lack of honesty and deception as well as asking me to pay more money to get what i already paid for I spoke with many guests and all complained about the lack of aircon I have stayed in other Bahia resorts in Mexico and any issues were always resolved

    Beautiful Resort

    This is a beautiful resort. Our room was spacious & spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, & a lot spoke English. The buffet restaurant has a vast variety of foods, but as typical of buffet restaurants, the food is just warm, not HOT. Vegetables don't have their flavour when just warm. The cleaning personnel attended our room each morning at approx. 9.10am which suited us just fine. It meant our room was clean for the vast majority of the day. Towels were replenished, the floors mopped, beds made, but the two things in the bathroom needs attention. First of all, the shower gel dispenser, shampoo dispenser, & conditioner dispensers should not be in the containers they are in. It means that everyone who uses the room will be using them. This is not a sanitary practice. Perhaps the "complimentary" size individual items could be provided. Also the shower taps, soap dish, need to be cleaned a little better, as well as the taps in the main bathroom area. The whole resort is beautifully decorated. The pools are immaculate. I'm not a big pool person, but do enjoy a swim, but don't like the thumping music that's played. I most certainly do recommend this resort, but I won't return for a period consisting of a week..more likely a 3-4 day stay. There really isn't much to do, which is why I found myself experiencing boredom at times. The grounds are immaculate., & very carefully manicured. Be sure to take pictures. You'll get a lot of colourful results.

    A mixture of good and bad, with food and beach good, while rooms were bad, and service average.

    The staff are half warm and cold, with majority not speaking english which can be discouraging. The beach is good especially for sunrise. The transport system around the place is average with more emphasis given to privilege members, given the size it can be improved.Outside your hotel services are poor with alot of restrictions to their sister hotels within the same establishment which isnt entirely advantageous since it would be a good way to taste and know whether to upgrsde. The beddings are poor and have to be improved.
