    Don’t believe the 5 star reviews staff members walk around with QR codes guilting guests to give 5 stars

    This hotel is not well maintained, staff does not clean the rooms, they only change towels and make the bed. Mosquitoes everywhere, you cannot sleep at night from all the bugs and the terrible mattress. The floors everywhere even by the pool are slippery and made of marble and are always wet so you are guaranteed to slip and/or fall.

    Rude staff, poor room conditions

    We just visited the Bahai Principe Fantasia in Punta Cana, let’s start with the good, the staff at the specialty restaurants were great, always making sure you had what you needed at all times. And that’s it for the good, the trip started poorly with the shuttle service we booked through the hotel, coming 2, we had the receipt with the guests included, and they said we were wrong and would have to purchase another shuttle, even though we had the proof. Finally arrive to the resort and check in was a nightmare, we had booked three rooms, and spoke with them to have them all together… this did not happen, after a hour of waiting we finally got everyone in the same building and on the same floor. The staff at the front desk and bars were extremely rude, it always seemed like the guests were a bother. Two of our rooms ac units were leaking from the ceiling onto the floor, after many complaints the problem was still never fixed, except house keeping would throw new towels on the floor. When we arrived to our room the mini bar was full of half drank drinks from the previous guests. On our tour heading to our room we were told we could visit the other Bahai principe resorts that are all connected but we couldn’t use the other buffets, which was incorrect we were asked to leave each one we visited. The food is great if you love hot dogs, they have many kinds at every meal at the buffets. Dishes were generally dirty at the buffets, bowls and cups could never be found. The food was cold and seemed like the dinner from the night before. Again the biggest turn off was the staff being so rude at the bars and front desk, they would walk right by you unless you had money in your hand for a tip. Overall the climate and beach were amazing, but I wouldn’t recommend this resort nor would I return.

    Price gouging at reception.

    We were two adults and four kids (3,5,5 and 7 yo). Asked for two connected rooms with travel agency. On arrival we were given two unconnected rooms and after complaining about that we were informed that we could get them connected for additional fee of U$20 per person per day. I think this is quite disappointing and I cannot understand, even if some additional charge is required, what it has to do with number of persons. Also, big disappointment is that, during the day, coffee is available only in the main lobby and all other coffee machines were out of order for the entire week we were at the resort. For this category of resort this is unacceptable.

    Good But Could Improve

    Well I want to say the hotel was good but not perfect. Not deserving of a 5 star. The kids area is great and the entertainment staff was really good. The shows at the pool, the foam party, the entertainment was great. They have so many activities for the kids. We came to celebrate my wifes birthday and also enjoy with the kids and Cristina made the whole birthday experience excellent. One night made a reservation at the Rodizio and told them is was my wife's birthday and they didn't do anything. Like they didn't care. The service there was horrible. Like I said previous Cristina came through and was able to make it happen the next day at the buffet. Shout out to her and her team. Also the front desk staff was not the greatest. Not very friendly at all. The food could be better at the resort. We really loved the hibachi. Food and the service was really great and the manager there was excellent and very understanding there. He deserves high praise.

    It’s ok

    Mix feelings about resort, check in process horrible experience till manager came and solve the problem. Room had some water leak from ceiling but was solved next day after few attempts. It took 3days to unlock the safe Food decent in the buffet, lots of options. We had bad experience with booked restaurants where you supposed have better experience. We supposed to have show in one of the Japanese restaurant and chef came grumpy throw couple eggs and called it a show. Other Japanese restaurant had horrible food and very slow service . There are few restaurants that are paid extra. Beach area and pool ok but be careful about the trips they’re selling there. They will promise you everything you want to have on the excursion and then it’s not there. Also check your credit card after as he charged us 130 us $ more than he said. After he was approached he said it’s my credit card that added 18%and after that he said it’s tax. There are waves everyday and there’s no reef close by. Drinks are amazing especially in a lobby bar. Those guys are awesome.
