Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
One half of Disney’s take on the classic summer cool-down, Disney's Blizzard Beach offers rides and pools for all sizes and ages such as Teamboat Springs – one of the world’s longest group whitewater raft rides and Summit Plummet - a 120-ft. high waterslide. Challenge the whole family to a slide race in the 8-lane waterslide Toboggan Racers, or tube through the Runoff Rapids.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
The other half of Disney’s water park offerings, Typhoon Lagoon has an amazing wave pool, a waterslide ride that behaves more like a roller coaster, the Crush ‘n’ Gusher Water Thrill Ride, and a space just for the little ones at Ketchakiddee Creek. Enhance your stay with private Beachcomber Shacks and Umbrellas for when it’s time to catch your breath.

Planning a Walt Disney World® vacation? Here are some things to know:
Walt Disney World® Resort has taken enhanced health and safety measures. For more information and important details to know, click here.
What time does Walt Disney World open?
Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios are currently opening at 9 a.m., Animal Kingdom at 8 a.m., and EPCOT at 11 a.m. Also, Extra Magic Hours benefit was suspended when Walt Disney World Resort reopened last summer, and as we continue to manage attendance with health and safety top of mind, Extra Magic Hours will not return. Coming later this year, Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels will be able to enjoy more fun with 30-minute early entry to ANY theme park, EVERY day. It’ll be a great way to get a jump start on your Disney day, no matter the day!
How many attractions and rides are at Walt Disney World?
There are over 170+ attractions and rides at Walt Disney World. Now open - Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, "it’s a small world"® and Avatar – Flight of Passage
How much is parking at Walt Disney World?
Short answer: depends. If you’re staying at Walt Disney World hotel, parking is free. If you’re staying at any of the nearby hotels that aren’t Walt Disney World, they may offer a free shuttle. Otherwise, standard parking is $25 a day.
What should I wear to Walt Disney World?
Like any destination, this depends on the weather. While Southern Florida is warmer than most, it can still get cold (and wet) so check the weather for your scheduled stay. Whatever the weather, brings comfortable walking shoes, you’ll need them.
What should I pack for Walt Disney World?
Every family is different, but some of the essentials are:
- Sunscreen/sunglasses/hat - southern Florida sun
- Antibacterial wipes - you’ll be eating among thousands
- Pocket umbrella and/or thin raincoat - it can rain from time to time
- Tissues/wipes - this isn’t Disney-specific as much as it is life-specific
- Light jacket - the AC can be real inside some venues
- Water bottle - unless you want to buy theme-park-priced bottled water
Can you bring food and water into Walt Disney World?
Short answer: yes. Anything that doesn’t require heating (or you like it cold), no alcohol, nothing in glass containers. From their own FAQ they also forbid anything with "pungent odors". You will need to declare your food items at the entrance, where security will be scanning your bags.
When is the best time to go to Walt Disney World?
If you want to avoid as much of the summer push of park crowding, then shoot for September and October right after school starts and January and February after the holidays and still wintertime. Note that in January some park attractions and water rides may be closed for renovation.
Is Walt Disney World open on Christmas?
Is it ever. In fact, if you aren’t a fan of the crowds, you may want to rethink visiting the Magic Kingdom this week as it regularly tops the charts as the park’s busiest period. That said, there’s a reason why it’s so popular complete with a Disney-fied Christmas Day Parade, the fireworks displays, and so much more, all of which starts up as early as the second week in November.
