Hotel review
Had a great time at the hotel. Our server Rainer took very good care of us at our company dinner! 10/10 would recommend. The hotel is big and expansive and all of the staff were very welcoming and supportive. There are places to get and return towels all over the resort which makes it super easy to go to the pool and beach.

Peaceful Hawaiian vacation
When checking in at the hotel, we were greeted by Elizabeth Ramos with a big friendly smile. I told her because I am a daily swimmer, I wanted a room facing the pool. She upgraded us from a garden view to a pool view without extra charge. The room was on the third floor and in the middle of the hall. For most of our stay, it was quiet. The room design was comfortable and functional, with such amenities as a night light, a safe deposit box, a refrigerator, and two large full-length mirrors. The beds were comfortable with four pillows. The room temperature was perfect. In-room coffee maker was provided. Loved self-parking for my rental car. Minor things: I brought my shower caps. I had to ask for a robe. There was no mirror in front of the desk for me to sit down to make up. I brought my own makeup mirror. I attended two fun hotel activities: a Lei ceremony to make a Kukui nut black shell necklace and a Lei-making class. When checking out, I got the best compliment from Elizabeth, "You are the prettiest client in my 24 years of service here." Wow!

No aloha at the Marriott
We stayed at the Marriott from 9-5-2023 to 9-11-2023. Unfortunately, we were not warned that they were doing construction in the second floor lobby area and to rooms on the first floor. Our room was on the second in the area of the construction. Between the tile saw and the jack hammer, enjoying our room was not a possibility. We requested a room change, but it was not honored until the third day. That was half way through our vacation. I thought the hotel management could have been more sympathetic to our issues. This was my third stay at the Marriott, but I will not be coming back.
