    Best Vacation Ever

    We recent stay at the Iberostar grand in Jamaica and we had such a wonderful time and there was so beautiful and the staff there was so polite and amazing. We had butler service and Alain, Andre was our butlers, they made sure we had dinner reservations on checking in they always attentive and he’s so professional at his job. Alain and Andre really made our stay magnificent.

    8th visit. Love the Grand

    With our 8th visit to the Grand in the books, I wanted to share some information to those interested in taking a trip to the grand. To begin, it is our favorite spot to visit. The staff have become friends and treat guests very well. The grounds are always clean and bright. Pools the same. Staff amazing. Special thank you to Theo, Anishka, Judy, Seon, Lady D, Lisa, Lamar, Tashae and Basine for your love and hospitality. we miss you already. Very nice to see the upgrades to the entertainment. Deivy it is clear your leadership is positive. Keep up the great work. Some noticeable upgrades to restaurant and lounge seating. A accurate review should include some of the less than positive aspects as well. Here are a couple that left us feeling unsatisfied. During our 10 day stay, the nightly buffet was closed. Leaving only the specialty restaurants to dine in. Although good, we were very disappointed with the closure. we were told it was due to lower capacity. This was very hard to believe and the resort was a popular as we have seen it over our 8 years. It seemed like a cost saving measure. At the cost of staying at the resort, this needs to change. If it is truly based on occupancy, the bar should be set at 50% at the very least. The mattresses were being changed out. This too was a downgrade from before. The beds were extremely hard and nearly unusable for me. Thank you to the staff that offered us an older one for our stay. Unlike before, staff around the pool was good but understaffed. Waiting for service took much longer than past visits. The staff did a great job non the less. As mentioned, we love the grand and will return at some point. I would like to offer a slight downgrade to the value. This is an expensive resort with many many positives. However for the $ the buffet needs to be open and additional staff support could be added. Hope this help those looking for a great place to visit. Jamaica is a must.

    Best vacation ever

    This hotel hands down 10/10 I’ve been to many resorts in Jamaica and this one exceeded my expectations. From the moment we got to resort the staff was so welcoming the check in was so quick. The food was amazing, my room the butlers amazing they stayed on top of everything we had no worries. Always something to do shout out to the entertainment manager and the crew Bubbles, Lisa, Saphire, the dj everyone on the entertainment crew you guys kept the vybz going the Dulce show was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 the bar staff Travis, Goodie everyone in the bar big up yourself. This hotel was just amazing only complaint I should of stayed longer 🥹

    Great Trip

    I would like to start off by saying that we had an incredible time !!! We have been to this resort numerous times and have been coming for many years ... and things in our opinion are better than they have ever been ( pre pandemic inclusive). When we arrived we were greeted by Carl and he took such great care of us as he looked after our luggage and escorted us to the reception area. Reception was a breeze and very accomodating .... they look after you as best they can with any requests you may have ( rooms for example). The rooms are always nicely cleaned and are very roomy ..... housekeeping always does a great job !!! .... and are almost always nearby if you need something. Our Butlers Gary and Rohan were awesome .... they were always available and very accomodating to do what ever it took to make your stay enjoyable ..... Thank you Gary and Rohan !!! The buffet style Breakfasts and Lunches were always great .... and Judy who generally greets you at both is simply awesome and a great hostess. Service at both these restaraunts was spot on ..... One of our favourites is / was Delroy at the omlette station .... he's an older gentleman that is simply one of the nicest and most genuine Jamaican's you will ever meet. Dinners were simply better than they have ever been !!! All the restaraunts have been elevated to a whole other level with their food !!! Simpson at the Italian was our favourite server there ..... and all 4 servers at the surf and Turf were so good as well ( Andrew, Garcia, Cavan and Kelroy). If you like sushi you need to stop into the japanese as Javino is simply one of the best Sushi chefs on the island in our opinion. Thank you Javino for all the great sushi !!! We very much enjoyed how personable upper management was ..... they were always present and always wanted to stop and ask how things were ..... Dovia was always around at dinners making sure things were going well. Upper management namely David, Max, Rudolpho, Moses,Jimmy, and Kerry were always stopping by ... welcoming us and others and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The entertainment crew was great ...... Newly hired Deivy has the crew going strong and newly promoted Lisa was better than she's ever been .... we had a great time with her this trip !!! Our trip ended on a great note ...... Sean grabbed our bags from the room and took care of us until our departure. He is one of our favourites at the resort ..... he can make you feel good even when you're leaving !!! On a final note .... I would like to say a big thank you to Nadika and Basiene. They are in charge of customer service and if you have any requests or issues with your stay ..... don'e hesitate to reach out to them as they are simply top notch. They are located just inside the lobby and are always very accessible and are there to make your stay as good as can be !!! Thank you Basiene and Nadika !!!
