    First class service!

Excellent service! Food was great and staff was very accommodating. Our Butlers ( Rushane and Andrew ) were Amazing! They made sure that all of our requests were fulfilled. Turn down service, stocked minibar with my favorite beverages and they even ran a bubble bath for my wife while we were out at a show.

    Not worth the money

We were looking for a high-end experience in Jamaica and the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall billed itself as exactly that. It fell short in every respect. Check-in took over an hour after a long travel day. The room was cramped and dated. Room service arrived cold. One of the draws are the restaurants but making reservations was difficult and clearly designed to limit the number of people who could use them. Only the French and Italian restaurants were memorable. The morning buffet was barely edible, the lunch buffet better but very hit or miss depending on the theme. The jerk chicken at the beach bar was probably the best food in the place. The wine list was very limited and the bar drinks were bland. Top shelf was an extra charge. The casino was a joke and the spa hugely expensive. Overall, the service was good but the touted butler service? Not so much. If you want bougie, this ain't it. Never again.

    Great Staff

Beautiful resort with great staff. Stayed in the "Suites" section because the Grand was apparently booked up but somehow paid the same price which seemed odd. The resort is not huge so it is easy enough to learn your way around. I was concerned the main pool was too small and would be overcrowded but this was not the case although we were told the resort was only half full on the day we arrived but it did get busier as the week progressed. There was plenty of loungers on the beach as well. Our favourite restaurant was the Lobster and Steak spot. The steaks were amazing and the beachfront dining added a nice caribbean vibe. Unfortunately the day we arrived they stopped taking reservations at the restaurants and on 3 nights we waited over an hour to get in to eat which is unacceptable. This definitely took away from our experience here. The worst spot was the Asian. It was so incredibly loud inside that I had to go to my room to get earplugs. The food was good though. The Greek restaurant was forgettable and the Italian was probably my second choice after the steak. There were some service issues in the restaurants but not enough to ruin the trip. The buffet was actually one of the best places to eat. Great food and great service there. The rooms were very nice and our beachfront balcony was huge. Staff were constantly cleaning everywhere on the property. There wasn't a ton of entertainment variety which was a bit disappointing. Karaoke and Couple question games are cheap forms of entertainment for the resort. There were live performances in the lobby lounge each night for a few hours that consisted of solo musicians which was nice but I would have liked to see a live band at least on one evening during the week. Overall the resort is very nice and the staff were excellent which definitely added to our experience. Kudos to them.

Here now, can’t wait to leave

I have been a fan of the iberostar grand brand for over a decade and have been to several different properties mostly because they do a really wonderful job with the food and the service. However, this time around in Jamaica, I am faced with begging and pleading every day For dinner reservations. The resort requires reservations in most of the restaurants and the 2 walk-ins are typically fully booked so your best bet is the buffet. I paid $5000 for five days and on day three I am being told once again that every restaurant is booked, and my best bet would be walkins. Day 1 and day 2 I was on verge of crying, begging them to let us eat someplace else than the buffet which we do every morning and every lunch. Given that we prepaid $5000 and have given the staff ultimate flexibility on which restaurant they book I spend my time trying to reason with staff to be able to dine anywhere than the buffet . I would highly advise you to think about twice coming here. The resort is beautiful and the food is good, but you are faced with continued aggravation when it comes to reservations. If you are OK, paying $5000 and having buffet every day, then be my guest. I had two very stressful months due to work and came here to relax but my hard earned money so far is going to more stress ….. hugely disappointed and would never consider the iberostar Grand again.

    It was a wonderful stay

My stay at the iberostar Grand Rose Hall was wonderful. I met some amazing individuals such as: Allison, Roshane, Shevaughnte, and Merrick who worked at the grand prestige beach lounge, they made me feel so happy like when am back at home and overall it was a wonderful experience. My butlers Rohan and khadeen made my stay so enjoyable. Excellence service.
